We are now waiting for approval with CDC and the developer! We have our colour appointment and electricals on the 20th May. We have already chosen our external colours. Hopefully in the coming weeks we will have our approval and then we can finally start. I am very impatient, although Firstyle have managed to push everything quite quickly for us. I have to admit that so far, I am quite impressed with Firstyle. I just want my house! I love my parents but its quite overcrowded with 4 adults, a teething toddler and 2 cats and 2 dogs! Re: Building Firstyle Silkwood 21.7 17May 09, 2017 4:58 pm WhatsUp Hi There, Im building with firstyle and im signing building contracts did you have any issues at all with them cause they say they can charge you extra for this and that. Can you let me know you experience with it thanks watsup Hi Watsup! Congrats on your home So far we haven't had any issues with hidden charges but just like with any builder, I guess there will always be those little extras! We had one issue at the beginning where things were modified because of the slope of our land which was not ok with us but this was addressed and sorted quite quickly. Ive heard good and bad things about Firstyle but I really cant fault them so far. We are now at council/CDC application stage so just waiting on the go ahead now. Good luck! If you have a thread, im interested in following your progress Re: Building Firstyle Silkwood 21.7 18May 09, 2017 4:58 pm Renman charlibear Lexh

Congrats on settlement of your land!!! That's so exciting!!! Do you have your plans or selection choices? GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Thank you! We are hopefully going with the black colourbond roof, dark brick (Austral Blackstone), larger stained timber door and timber look garage. Something similar to this image http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/586a349a7db6e/received_719430834899457.jpeg? And for the internals, love black, grey and white. We are definitely having 600x600 matte grey porcelein tiles with grey grout. Also poly satin black kitchen with shaker profiles and hoping for 40mm caesarstone benchtop with marble look and same splashback. Similar to this... but not with the window there or the glass cupboard doors. http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/586a35e0b06ee/kitchen.jpg? Hopefully it works out how i want it! That is going to look just gorgeous!! I wanted shaker profile cupboards but it would have looked out of place in our kitchen GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643
The ones in the pics looks like a shaker profile as well. You can modernize it like we have and not have it with V groove. This is what we have gone for. Also - I noticed you mentioned colorbond roof and removing the little raise in the floor to the bathrooms. We are looking into doing this as well. Have you found out the costs for this?
