Your selections look very nice and the elevations look great. Was the single recessed brick on the front elevation your design decision or standard? Am interested in the brick you have decided on too. Of all the things we did that just slipped through us! The brick is PGH Sorbetto, Sekisui originally had the frontage rag painted but I preferred the brick front so we are saving some money there. The pergola at the front and side was designed by Sekisui as some design feature was needed for it being a corner block, that will be rendered and painted surfmist. I know which house you mean, I think Monique the sales person at the time took inspiration from that corner feature but the house is a modified version of the big Aron home they have there, we made some changes to the kitchen layout and other things and have a one garage door instead of the double doors. It is a big house, too big for us really but just couldn't get past the overall layout which we loved! Re: Sekisui / Burbank -our Acacia home-slab stage 10Feb 20, 2017 8:42 am Aron is very beautiful house. We fell in love with Aron back in 2010. Because of the size of the house we gave Aron a miss a few times but constantly we were draw back to Aron and couldn't go pass the clean lines of the house plan. 1 year later we took courage to sell our first house to do KDR. And we are still in the progress ... I like your kitchen lay out, I'm seeing many builds with butlers pantry, I wants one now. Build Thread : viewtopic.php?f=31&t=81624 That's exactly how we felt when we looked at the Aron at first, we just wanted a smallish 4 bed single storey and did find a Rawson homes one that we really liked but just kept going back to the Aron, took pics and videos of the showhomes and just couldn't not go for it in the end! Additionally the cost was pretty good compared to other equal sized homes, they saved the price for us and added all the infinity inclusions and aircon, we have extensive delays on land registration and ended up paying holding fees totalling $8000 but this was still a lot cheaper than if we had signed the contract at a much later date. Like you I loved the butlers pantries in the showhomes and found a way to make one as the kitchen is pretty big and I'm happy with how it looks on the plans hope it works out and looks ok in real life!! We have also been told to make an appointment for our tiles which we have done for late march. I'm a bit annoyed as we were originally told by Sekisui we would choose from Beaumont tiles or Dons tiles I will wait and see what they are like but can't help feeling we are being fobbed off with cheaper products yet again

I am not building my hopes up, Burbank seem to promise a lot and everything is later than they say. We have also been told to make an appointment for our tiles which we have done for late march. I'm a bit annoyed as we were originally told by Sekisui we would choose from Beaumont tiles or Dons tiles but Burbank have changed supplier to tiles direct. I will wait and see what they are like but can't help feeling we are being fobbed off with cheaper products yet again Our Acacia build - viewtopic.php?t=86619 From what shazw has gone through it seems like it's usually on par if not better in terms of materials? Re: Sekisui / Burbank -our Acacia home-slab stage 14Feb 25, 2017 5:05 am We have an appointment to just view the tiles today so I should reserve judgement until I see what they have, hopefully we will have a good choice there. I guess the continual changes of suppliers makes me a bit nervous... Would you mind reporting back on general size of selection range and sizes? I remember standard don selection for Sekisui was red dots, fairly big range and sizes ranged from 300x300, 300x450, feature strips, 200x600 plus more I think Re: Sekisui / Burbank -our Acacia home-slab stage 16Feb 25, 2017 9:33 am Uchiha Hi Trimum That's disappointing about tiles direct, we already did a preselection with Dons. I don't think any feature strips are included but some of the prices I was quoted made them very cheap to have as extras.
