I'll mention it and pay for it to be fixed if we get right up to completion with it still as is. This stud plate wasn't pulled through already for some reason so we had to go hunting. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ All the points in the pantry fitted off. I did these ones so there's nobody else to blame if they don't work - my mate did all the wall plates and corresponding terminations. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The hole the plasterers cut for the data cables was a bit off where the stud plate was, which means a little hole under the plate. I'll be putting a rack on the wall which should cover it well enough. Re: Custom Build in Warrnambool 424Nov 28, 2016 4:01 pm It's looking great!! You just made me wonder what my electrician will do with the speaker cables he will presumably pull through where my entertainment unit will be.... Hmmmm! C U S T O M. C O R A L. The speakers themselves will cover the holes but I almost feel like I should be getting some form of cover for the hole. I guess it won't matter once there's a speaker over them. Good news on the shed front, there's a waterproof membrane, reo bar and some footings poured. Sarah already dislikes the fact the floor and wall tiles aren't the same and didn't want to add a third tile into the mix. Re: Custom Build in Warrnambool 426Nov 28, 2016 8:23 pm Woops, also forgot that the concreters had set out the driveway slope. This is to suit lowered cars because although it's a reasonably large height change it's over 6 metres which means we can ease the break-over angle. We used a 3.3m long piece of timber and 100mm clearance from the midpoint as a worst case scenario. I've sort of been hoping to build something as a lean-to style behind the shed (between the shed and fence) but time will tell if that comes to fruition or not. Looks like instead the painters were back, sanding some imperfections on the laundry door (the finish here was terrible and I was wondering if/when something would be done about it. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also a local glazing company looks to have supplied & installed two new windows in one of the sliding doors assemblies. I guess the original ones turned up broken - unless A&L purposefully supply their stackers without glass for some reason? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also the painters appear to have sanded the front entry door too. I hadn't even noticed anything wrong with this one but obviously someone has been paying attention! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ No doors left unlocked today so I couldn't see inside but pretty confident not much else happened. One good sign is that our ceiling fans are on-site, hopefully that means the electricians are due sooner rather than later? Also the guy who is supplying our shed (Chris from Westvic Sheds in Colac - one of the local Fair Dinkum Shed suppliers) picked up his new Ford Everest from me today; he mentioned that the guys who are going to assemble our shed are booked through most of December, unfortunately he can't confirm until our shed slab is down but it may not get done until the Christmas break (his guys are working through since they have such a backlog from all the rain we've had in the western district). He did say the assembly process does only take a couple of days though so there's that. We're super keen for the shed to be done before I go back to work around the 9th of Jan from my Xmas break so that we've got some whole-days to move shed related stuff rather than just working afternoons and evenings with no time to unwind between that and work. Looks like that might not happen because the concreters are taking so long to actually get our job done! Re: Custom Build in Warrnambool 433Nov 30, 2016 3:42 am Good to see they are showing some attention to detail with the doors! Not something I can say I experience all too often lol. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The pendant hasn't been installed in our entryway - there was some speculation the pendant might be too tall; not sure if they've just given up on the idea or if they've put it aside to try and set the cord length (it will need to be about 75mm of cable to have the bottom of the pendant 2000 off the floor.) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Kids shower base is tiled and dry now. Not sure about the niches since I forgot to check those. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Another shot of the pendants, not sure if I think these are too high or not. On one hand I'm glad they're tall enough I won't hit my head on them, they're not so tall that you'll be able to see the globes in them, and they don't get in your sight line when looking toward the big stacker doors from the living room area. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Outside doors are now white. Odd, must be some sort of sealer coat or undercoat to help adhesion/finish. C U S T O M. C O R A L. B R O N T E. 43 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=79581 When I was there setting the driveway slope last week he mentioned he still had to order them (and that he was going to when he got back to the office) - I guess they'll just turn up eventually. The pendants do look very big in person, although so does the island bench when it's not wrapped up in a drop-sheet; I think we need to wait until the flooring is done, all the stickers are off the windows and our furniture etc is in before we change them - Sarah seems to think there's some urgency to replace them right away. At least if we do replace them I'll have some sick task lights for the shed! We have a floor standing lamp that is the same style (they are Hektar from IKEA) I'd get the gutters to match your roof and pipes to match the paint - otherwise they become a feature. Nice pick with the paint colours! 1 34838 6 56186 Congrats. Will be watching this progress and interested to see how you go with summit. 12 34692 |
