Just playing the waiting game now. Re: Vulcan Ridge at East Leppington by Cornish Group 8Nov 02, 2016 1:32 pm Hi all, We are also building at Vulcan Ridge. Managed to secure an extended fixed price tender (additional 6 months) with my builder at no additional cost. Make sure you negotiate this prior to the $1000 deposit. Happy building! Re: Vulcan Ridge at East Leppington by Cornish Group 9Nov 12, 2016 11:02 pm Hi again, Where is everyone up to with their builders and who are you building with? We are building with masterton and just received our plans back. We have to check over them to make any final changes before they are submitted for approval. We need to submit external colours in the next week. We are meeting with mastertons interior designer next week (additional cost) to work through everything. It's an exciting but stressful process Is anyone building a pool? Re: Vulcan Ridge at East Leppington by Cornish Group 14Nov 19, 2016 7:19 am Hey Ak87, our 5% build deposit is due next month. We recieved our first plan but yet to sign off on it because we spotted a few more changes to be made. I'll ping you soon! Thanks No initial plans to build a pool. Our lots size is 390sqm. Would have loved a small dip/plunge pool. Re: Vulcan Ridge at East Leppington by Cornish Group 15Nov 28, 2016 12:12 pm Hey All, Just an update, I spoke with Cornish Group today and they are confirming that the Land will definitely get registered by the end of Jan 2017. It seems approval is online these days and should talk only a week from the day they lodge for subdivision, if everything is good. I drove past the place last weekend and could see work is going on in full swing. Lets hope its done soon. Cheers. Re: Vulcan Ridge at East Leppington by Cornish Group 16Dec 09, 2016 10:27 pm Hi all, We finally sign our building contract and pay our 5% tomorrow. We had a few issues with the builder and considered pulling out but thankfully it's all sorted. I drove past today (I only live 5 mins down the road) and the street signs are up. It's good to see progress. We have finally decided on the external colours. Have any of you done your external/internal colours yet? I think we will have to go in for our internal colours, kitchen and bathroom appointments soon. Cherryripe - our pool will be 2m x 8m so not huge but it should be good if it all goes through. It's mainly for the kids. We have a 480 block. Re: Vulcan Ridge at East Leppington by Cornish Group 17Dec 12, 2016 3:26 pm We are building in Vulcan Ridge too I noticed the street signs up! Cant wait to see our Street name. Building with Eden Brae, they say building will start in March. Paying our 5% next week Re: Vulcan Ridge at East Leppington by Cornish Group 18Dec 13, 2016 7:57 pm That's awesome - it means progress Will have to go for a drive to check out the street signs. We paid our 5% last week and picked our internals and external colours which I am still not feeling 100% confident with. Went to the bank today (Westpac) to get started on the construction loan. We left the mortgage broker out this time because we realised it's a lot easier without the 3rd party. Re: Vulcan Ridge at East Leppington by Cornish Group 19Dec 20, 2016 1:05 pm Hi all, Received correspondence from the Cornish group today and can confirm the following; "Works have been pressing ahead since our last update. Roads are almost complete as are the retaining walls in the estate. Curbs and gutters and rolled curbs are also nearing completion, with the installation of electrical turrets well underway. The park on Jamboree Ave is complete and looks fantastic - albeit fenced while the grass takes hold ! In terms of registration, we expect that the plan of subdivision for Vulcan Ridge will be lodged with the Land and Property Information (LPI) in January 2017, with registration occurring shortly thereafter." Cornish re-opens on 21st Jan so I would imagine plans will be lodged shortly after. Registration for end of Jan could be possible but I'd say Feb to be safe. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all!
