My brick cost me only $3500 for a 32 squares house... I sent an email asking for the variations as I haven't received them yet and it's been 6 weeks, I've been told early next week I should have them but she did tell me the price of the bricks $3370. Just gotta get the rest of the variations to find where this fits in the budget... I'm planning on building myself and only consider plans where media / theatre rooms are no where near bedrooms . Given the proximity you may want to consider two layers facing the bedrooms. Fademan, Thank you for your suggestion. I will ask my builder about sound check plaster. Hi Fademan, My builder going to put the R2.0 sound screen from CSR SoundScreen R2.0 suitable for Internal and external wall cavities & Floor and ceiling cavities - Reduce sound transfer by up to 70 per cent (from Bradford datasheet) Cheers, Re: RegVic's first build - Custom plan - Local builder 89Jul 13, 2016 4:24 pm Builder rang me and said the contracts will be ready by Friday.. Congratulations on the progress so far. I have a question... as your house design is a custom one, is it much more pricey than a standard design? I'm not sure where Hotondo sit in terms of price points so it'd be interesting to know Re: RegVic's first build - Custom plan - Local builder 100Jul 14, 2016 10:31 pm andyboiii Will definitely be following along. He said the only difference will be draftsman fee (around $500)...spent a couple of days with the draftsman to create the floorplan.... but the good thing is Hotondo didn't charge me a penny... Not sure about the other builders though... I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
