Anyone here had luck with growing avocado tree in Melbourne? Pls share your experience, TIA

Found couple of goodies today at Bunnings.

1). Tiles grout sealer applicator. This looks like a useful tool. It fits on top of sealer bottle. I had to do grout sealing with a brush and wet sponge in last house and wasn't a pleasant experience.

2). Our house wasn't in bush fire area, but always thought it would be good idea to have a protection in those weeping holes. Found this neat retrofit solution. It's an easy DIY and hopefully would look good too. It comes with a pushing tool, no other tools required.

I'm quiet concerned about garage external wall. As we have it on boundary. once neighbors will build their house, it would be garage to garage with hardly any gap between there. That area won't be accessible after that. This will help to protect all weeping holes in that wall.

3). This little Allen key is very handy to tighten all loose door handles, towel rails, toilet roll holders. There is a tiny hole underneath where this goes in.

Apparently they two best types to grow in Melbourne are Beacon and Lamb, lol. They belong to type A and type B (for pollination).

If you buy grafted plants, they should start giving you fruits within 4 years (woohoo). But need to protect them from frost in early couple of years.

I'm finding it very hard to source avocado plants in Melbourne during this cold weather. Hopefully by September/ October there would be enough supply.

For gardening lovers, and for all new home builders, found this product great for soil and plants.

It's called Gogo juice. It's concentrated product and one liter will give 250 liters of fertilizer.

Apologies for late reply. No, haven't had a chance to try sealing tiles. One tile in our ensuite is faulty and Henley has booked a tiler to replace that on 15th July. That's making me to think to better wait and let him finish it first.

Gogo juice name is so funny. Wife asked to put it way out of kids reach. It's school holidays time and you don't want someone ambitious enough to have a go on Gogo juice

it would be 3m x 1m and 9100mm high.

Actual frame would be built with MPG10 70x35 treated timber.

Would 9mm villa board be strong enough to hold this natural stone cladding?
