Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Mojo Homes 208May 17, 2016 1:41 pm Hi all, I have a quick question. My laundry needs about 3 steps to reach ground level. Is this included in our contract or its our own responsibility after handover? I thought it was part of the structure of the house. Re: Mojo Homes 210May 20, 2016 12:10 am mah31 Hi I went last sat to mojo homes... Looking to build bolero and asked for a free tender... They said we need to deposit $3000 after the tender... This is our first home I am only worried about site cost 😞As I have a very limited budget Do they give fixed site cost.... Do we need to pay any amount after construction... Can anyone please help me... They will give you an estimate for site costs in that tender but you'll need the soil report to get a more accurate idea of slab requirements... there's always a slim chance something unexpected comes up when they start to build (E.g we need to get sewage encased and that was extra $10k.). Hope this helps? Re: Mojo Homes 211May 20, 2016 12:40 am Hey Maccy, Hrm i havent spoken to my CLO as yet but spoken to SS who said he will look into my contract which doesnt sounds like its included if hes saying he need to check my contract? Just waiting for the SS to get back to me. Re: Mojo Homes 212May 23, 2016 3:23 pm Not actually seen anyone finish ? Looks like some good progress albeit slow. I am early stage with Mojo, and have a lot of time. We started with tender in Feb, Consolidated tender was this week but we had several changes and we still have more (yes dangerous if not careful), but from prior experience we want everything locked down completely before we go to plan stage. We are going the Enigma 46 anyone else doing this. (FYI just joined the facebook group as well). The plan is to knock down in November and start sometime between December and February. We want to be in late 2017, but must be in by January 2018. Re: Mojo Homes 215May 24, 2016 3:37 pm For those that have done electrical appointment, how much to allow over base costs, if you stay sensible architect, blogger at homedesignedge.com, Spacesave.co and author of Guide to Planning and Building a Home on a Budget Re: Mojo Homes 216May 25, 2016 6:38 pm Maccy_73 My suggestion is to start the process with mojo ASAP. It took us a good 12 mths to get to construction phase. If you have minimal changes you might be a chance to start early next year when you're land registers but i certainly don't think it's too early if you're decision is to go with Mojo. As for inclusions im.not sure I'm good to answer. We made loads of changes and did a lot of upgrades, so our build cost is close to double.... but until you pay the $3k and get a site report i don't think that you will get a true idea of the site costs or slab required. I don't recall the cost for rain tank, might have been $10k??? Best of luck with your decision... as you have rightly pointed out there is no "perfect builder"... i hope this time around is a better experience than your last tho. HI Macey_73. sorry to butt in on your post, if you were over 12month to get to construction stage did your tender period expired? were you hit with this as an extra cost? Yes we did have to pay extra for an extension but we negotiated on the cost they wanted to charge us because most of the delays were their end. Re: Mojo Homes 220May 31, 2016 1:08 pm We did do lots of changes but often not all changes would be reflected is the variation. The was lots of to and fro. And often weeks would go by with no contact. And then we had to wait two months or so for the colour appointment. Just all adds up to about three months of delays. 1 24584 Hi all, We are considering Enigma 46 from Mojo Homes in Gables, NSW. Has anyone built with Mojo and any pointers and feedback. Also, if anyone has built similar design… 0 20073 |
