I did know that they were getting changed to another builder but i thought the construction office numbers should be working - the one's that come up on their signatures.

hmmm, thanks raina - this is all news to me. May I ask how you found out they were changing builders? And have you been in contact with anyone from the office in the last week or so?

RJMM - will pm you the email i got from the construction office indicating this change on the 21st of December before the shut down.

Great news Finnerz.
Any tips on what to look out for or pay attention to at PCI?

Hi RJMM sorry I haven't had a chance to respond. I think the main things are to do with making sure everything is done as per contract and then finishes. We did walk through with SS and we both marked anything that needed attention. Then a list was made and we signed off on this. Basically be prepared when doing walk through. I would suggest taking something to check power points, a torch, cloth (the house won't be clean) to wipe bench top so you can look for chips etc, check taps and toilets and paint and plastering. I hope this helps. You can get an independent inspection done. I hope this helps

Hi RJMM yes I have been in contact via email as we have handover tomorrow. The change of direction was in the Christmas email and not s seperate communication.

how long did it take from you to get to handover stage from pci. Also if you remember, how long did it take from your flooring to pci. We are currently at our tiles stage and our electrical fit off is next week. Just want to organize other stuff and get an idea of the dates.

Hi Raina, Sorry for the delayed response but from pci to handover was 2 weeks. I think it was 2 weeks from floor finish to our pci but ours was timber not tile so may vary. Cheers

Hi RJMM, We are very happy with the house. A few niggles here and there but Alkira has responded quickly. We were delayed getting in due to the driveway so only got in just before Easter. I have been busy assembling furniture and finalising the move out of the rental. I will hopefully get some pics up shortly. I think the best decision was extending the kitchen dining to make a kitchen dining family as this is where we all congregate.

Hi, yes they still do exist - I actually just got in contact with them not long ago on an issue in trying to track down some of the trades that they used . I know Grant and Michelle are still there . Shoot them an email and I believe their number still there as well as i did call them about a year ago.

If you don't have the details just let me know I'll dig it up
