I'm green with envy!! In terms of timeline, we were in council about July last year. Signed contract in September last, cut before christmas, piers and slab in Jan, roof on, and now sitting back waiting for our bricks (as there is a month delay on them!). With our site started back in December, we were looking at early July handover, but now thinking this is going to be closer to August. I know people building with McDonald Jones, Hotondo, and GJ Gardner and they have all taken a while with the intitial paperwork. Think that most home companies will be around the same - there are a lot of variants to consider too. Sometimes they run into problems, sometimes the customer chops and changes things, sometimes council, sometimes weather, can prolong the build. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11774Mar 09, 2016 7:53 am We are thinking of asking them to extend our Terrazza (roof only) another 4m, has anyone asked for this before? Also, they quoted us for a concrete flooring for our Terrazza.. anyone asked for a timber flooring instead? Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11775Mar 09, 2016 9:03 am We have a 2m extension in the works (still awaiting reply as we gave a big list of adjustments) will let you know when we know Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11776Mar 09, 2016 4:40 pm As far as I know they don't actually do woodfloor/decking. At least thats what head office told us sometime last year at our plans meeting. Re: Who is building with Beechwood 11778Mar 10, 2016 6:44 am Can anyone on here who have done Electricals through Southwest Electricals, please personal message me rough prices for things? In particular fan installation, extra data/tv points, etc Just to give a rough idea of what to expect. This gives us a good idea of what to expect. Although still waiting on developer approval (which seems to be taking a lot longer then it should), they are forwarding our file to the certifier today. Also need the sewer approval and engineers report for the slab. 20/11/15 - Settled land 06/11/15 - Request 1st tender BH 21/04/16 - Colour Selections and Contracts Signed 31/05/16 - Commencement Letter 24/06.16 - Started work onsite - cut and benching begun Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed. Looks like… 0 11800 Elvis has left the building... The site supervisor quit after 2 month on the project. I guess he was just instructed to bark at people, but didn't like when he was… 26 21570 |
