What style furniture

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all having a lovely break and getting lots of jobs done with your spare time! This is my first of many posts on here I am sure. Me and my hubby have just brought our forever home after having lived in apartments and townhouses for 12 years together. We now how have a lovely 70s mudbrick by artchitect alistair knox. Its very rustic with brick and reclaimed wood interior. Please see link for photos

All our furniture is very modern, so we need to start fresh. I would like some advice on the style to go for. Im worried rustic might end up looking too rustic. I also have two dogs and two cats so dont want a lounge that will get ruined (light colours). I like the idea of a vintage brown leather cigar lounge and a rustic wooden table but am open to other ideas. Maybe copper metals or industrial??? Its quiet overwhelming starting from scratch!!

Wow, your house has so much character! Nice buy.
The house is rustic, so your furniture should be rustic as well.

Definitely go with the brown leather sofas, and wooden & metal tables...
will you be keeping the timber colour on the ceiling & beams? Would look amazing painted white!! Google New York loft style images for inspiration, would love to see what you end up doing!

Oh what an awesome house Laureah. I know I am late posting but did want to acknowledge. I am no interior designer - struggling with my own interiors at the moment but maybe easier looking objectively at others !

I would say mix it up for sure so not too heavy and keeps some personality - some metals, some paint, some rustic. You have the space to carry it all - IMO
