Good luck for the pour Ashgrove33Good luck fingers crossed all goes well and fixed! Thanks. Will update. We know they were doing work on Friday so will be interesting to see what happened. I don't think I actually told that story... Got a phone call from a very confused carpenter on Friday afternoon "errrr there's blue spray paint here but I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing???" Well use your imagination! Haha ok so I didn't actually tell him that but I did give him the inspector's phone number. I think it was as confused as the framer was as to why they were calling me! My plans show my LPOD close to my boundary fence, but PD have stuck it smack bang in the middle of what was supposed to be a nice large lawn area - over 3m off of the location shown on the signed plans and the stamped building permit. Re: Porter Davis homes 12275Feb 22, 2016 11:24 am Spent over an hour walking through with the area construction manager today who showed us every minor detail that was picked up in the reinspection report and explained everything in so much detail that he basically gave us a crash course in framing. The respect he showed us was in stark contrast to what we had experienced up to that point it. We feel so reassured and just wish the site supervisor had suggested a walk through earlier (but he will be asking the SS to give us weekly updates from now on & work on the communication side of things). And we have a roof! Woohoo. Glad everything went smooth as so it should since what you have exprieneced so far Re: Porter Davis homes 12277Feb 22, 2016 11:59 am Anyone else had problems with the location of their LPOD (legal point of discharge)? Just spoken to the SS and he's informed me that he was wrong and it wasn't the LPOD, it's actually the sewer inspection hole. Which isn't even shown on the plans. Seems someone at PD thought I'd appreciate that right in the middle of my back garden. What the hell am I supposed to do about that? Is there anything I can do? Glad everything went smooth as so it should since what you have exprieneced so far The stupid thing is that we would have been freaking out less if the site supervisor had just explained things better. I think they get that now! Well there wasn't a roof when the inspector was there Thursday afternoon... And now it's done! And im very skeptical when it comes to additional add ons... who knows what to believe. if anyone has heard of this or knows if this is in fact true id love to hear about it. Re: Porter Davis homes 12280Feb 23, 2016 12:01 am Hi all, We are just about to start building a Rochford 40 in Melbournes inner west. Have gone through WOS and Tender and so far everything has gone really smoothly. We bought a knockdown, which is almost knocked down! Hoping to start early April (fingers crossed)! You can follow us here: http://bainrochforddreamhome.blogspot.com.au Cheers, Steve & Cath check out the facebook page Building with Better Built - it helps! But i've heard both builders are fantastic. 1 160075 Yeah, that’s fair to be uneasy about it. We had similar wording pop up early on and our conveyancer pushed back hard. A few things were amended once we queried it,… 3 2640 Hi paul smith, Did you go ahead with Dezire Homes? I am in the market now and was looking for some feedback? Thanks 4 176470 |
