Basically you could spend anywhere from $1-$100k+ on top of base price, really just depends on your budget, what you're building, what category that's in, how many storeys.... We're building a 1 storey access home, 23 sq, think we spent about 30-40k extra. We could happily have spent more but budget... sigh. Lol. Then the full enormity of the increase hit us with the number crunching that night. Then it really gets fun "we need x but we want y and can't afford both... Do we really need x? can we live without y? But I want both!!!" Then the painters (again, the original ones, as they have to finish the final coat of clean on the stairwell anyway). Then I need to find an electrician to put in the pendant lights etc. Then I need to get the pool/sauna underway. Then...
