It already is!Thanks for the pep talk again much needed https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8588Nov 18, 2015 8:29 pm Well after a 2.5hour PCI inspection we are getting close. I felt really sorry for our new SS as he is walking into a mess of so many builds. Given the availability of trades it's looking like at least 3 weeks until we get keys. Not happy but at this point there isn't much we can do about it. I saw the SS carrying a briefcase laptop with software on it that lists each stage and item on our build, it allows them to schedule things in and tick things off. The last 3/4 of the list (site cleanup, skirting touchups, house cleaning) were all blank and we're never penciled in with our old SS. Need a stiff drink. Just keep in mind that once you sign that PCI checklist that is the end of your contract so effectively they have as long as they choose to fix everything up. Keep on top of everything and don't let them delay your handover. Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8590Nov 18, 2015 9:32 pm Buildersbob Hang in there guys there is light at the end of the tunnel. Personally I have to say say that all things considered we are happy with the end result. It's not happened without a fight and had we just let things roll along without any say I am sure we would not have the same result we have today. So stick to your guns don't let them fob you off and demand what you are entitled to. Here are a couple of photos of what we have been up to over the last few weeks post handover. Wish the pool was full this afternoon!! JamisonMac not long to go. Looks like every one have some progress atleast. Out tiles finished shower screens and mirrors installed. Now the big job left is the underground rain water tank and bits like carpets locks and wardrobe shelves. Ss still say pci will be end of this month. I just dont understand how everything will work togather like Ss said M will arrange Oc but we have to do stairs to the back and loundry and driveway after handover so how we can move straight after handover as i heard council doesn't allow with these just so confused. ........as we want to move to get rid of paying rent. A certifier just comes back out to ensure you become fully compliant. We have steps from our laundry to do post handover as well but our CC said we'd likely get an interim OC so we can move in and do those little things within the 12 months or whatever it is before you have to get the full OC. I hope you do get to PCI and get keys before Christmas https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8595Nov 19, 2015 7:44 am Thanks for the clarification MGardz. Like Cello, we have driveway, steps and porch to complete ourselves. I'll email the CC to get our interim OC done (I think in our masterton brochure PCI pack it mentioned it was 350 dollars) so we can, touch wood, get our keys by Christmas. I wonder what the shutdown date is this year? Friday 18th December? I asked hubby yesterday to find out about M shutdown as we're still waiting... waiting... WAITING for PCI and the keys etc. So in the meantime we're trying to organise our upstairs timber floors. Looks like we won't be able to move in til around the second week of January. A lot of you have already past us and many more will *sigh* Buildersbob - I too love the way your place is panning out especially the sandstone walls. Keep cool guys... more hot weather incoming! Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 8598Nov 19, 2015 8:47 am Hey Buildersbob, it's looking good. I drive past your house every day cursing you for having completed your build JamisonMac, good luck with the new SS, here's hoping everything is fixed soon Bleaky I like your style. We are still stuck in pre-construction, our DA is supposedly due for final approval today, 11 weeks after submission, but I'm not holding my breath. At this point we are wondering if we are going to make any progress this side of Christmas.
