Ah I see they've included it as part of the package - well chin up (hard I know) we are all here to view tile pics with you and give you our thoughts if that helps!
Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Yanchep RedInk build: Nevermind PCI, we have no tiles!!? 1706Nov 11, 2015 11:16 am Arrggh that is SO frustrating Mal! I've seen this happen a few times on here and it always baffles me that the builders don't ensure the tiles are locked in once they've been selected. I hope they can find a solution that you're happy with ASAP xx Re: Yanchep RedInk build: Nevermind PCI, we have no tiles!!? 1707Nov 11, 2015 11:48 am Oh thats just annoying mals i noticed that when it comes to almost completion of the house they slack and goes so slow. This happened to us, but with alot of emails and pushing them to give us a date well they pretty much get the job done. Hoping for a better result for you soon xx Our build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73578 our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73578 Re: Yanchep RedInk build: Nevermind PCI, we have no tiles!!? 1708Nov 11, 2015 2:23 pm Oh mal fingers crossed its sorted asap! Re: Yanchep RedInk build: Nevermind PCI, we have no tiles!!? 1709Nov 11, 2015 3:15 pm Damn I just read this how heart breaking! I really do hope you find a solution! Maybe there are tile shops over there which sell the same tiles and you could pick there? Re: Yanchep RedInk build: Nevermind PCI, we have no tiles!!? 1710Nov 11, 2015 3:53 pm I was determined yesterday to get this resolved and not get emotional - but this morning I have 5 emails - 3 from RedInk and not one of them helpful Firstly we're told the 3-4 weeks was indicative and that they wont rush the house - no sh1t Sherlock! If we want to use an inspector for PCI then the SS wont attend and nothing can be added to whatever list he comes up with He has to comply with some Australian standard If we want our parents or someone else to attend instead, then we have to get their details and they'll have to show identification - so it would seem we can't have both???? I wonder if they ask owners for their id? The PCI will depend on the splashback being installed........ We can remove the tiling from our contact and do it afterwards - but no info on how much credit we'd get - and with walls being non straight I would not want to take the chance with the floors!! Imported ceramics will send some pics (they sent 6.... - but at least they're trying) If we want more expensive ones, we'll have to pay If we want cheaper ones we MAY get a discount. Oh... and sorry for the inconvenience and frustration. I'm sorry but that is NOT what I'd call it!!!!!! Re: Yanchep RedInk build: Nevermind PCI, we have no tiles!!? 1711Nov 11, 2015 3:57 pm Ok - my bad - we can now have both my folks and the inspector. Geez Re: Yanchep RedInk build: Nevermind PCI, we have no tiles!!? 1712Nov 11, 2015 4:10 pm Oh no MalSannie!! My heart sank when I read the update about the tiles..... It's just not on.....this is obviously their stuff up and yes, I agree with the others that some form of compensation should be made available to you in this case. Hope they work with you to get it resolved, otherwise I would be making a whole lot of noise Our Build Thread: The "Extended" Marina by Visionone Homes Our Inspirations: Frank Lloyd Wright | Houzz Re: Yanchep RedInk build: Nevermind PCI, we have no tiles!!? 1713Nov 11, 2015 4:26 pm Wow, that really really is such a crap thing to find out now. I hope you end up with tiles that you like. Re: Yanchep RedInk build: Nevermind PCI, we have no tiles!!? 1714Nov 11, 2015 6:22 pm Mal can you contact the tile store and get an indication of what your tile spend was per sq m? They should credit you back whatever your specification inclusion was i.e. Spend of $44 per square metre - that's what I'd be asking for Re: Yanchep RedInk build: Nevermind PCI, we have no tiles!!? 1715Nov 11, 2015 11:18 pm So it seems lessons haven't been learnt. Shame on you Redink. Sending you massive hugs too Mal. xxxx Re: Yanchep RedInk build: Nevermind PCI, we have no tiles!!? 1716Nov 11, 2015 11:23 pm I don't think the builder would credit you the retail spend, as they get the tiles at a huge discount compared to what the public pays. But you might be able to guilt them into doing it given all the hassle they are putting you through! Re: Yanchep RedInk build: Nevermind PCI, we have no tiles!!? 1717Nov 12, 2015 12:21 am Yes and that would be cheaper for them than the alternative of having your build drag out months waiting for the tiles that are signed for in your contract hence waiting for any further payments Re: Yanchep RedInk build: Nevermind PCI, we have no tiles!!? 1719Nov 12, 2015 6:45 am Lindeli It's only tiles, pick something else. thank you for your valuable contribution - no doubt we will do just that Re: Yanchep RedInk build: Nevermind PCI, we have no tiles!!? 1720Nov 12, 2015 7:09 am Really?! Its only tiles. That would be a disaster for me. This tile is going through the whole house. When you have been imagining one tile and chose colours around this tile. Its not just a tile. Hey everyone Not for me or anyone I know, just generally interested. For a single allotment house, are you allowed to take the fence on both sides of your house and… 0 21746 4 12033 2 8582 |
