Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes general build thread 1403Jun 05, 2015 7:04 pm I hate cleaning thats why we decided no glass bit of a gamble water going everywhere from shower a little wall to try keep it contained.. Yes looking at yours and everyones builds they definately fly once they start. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 1404Jun 05, 2015 7:27 pm browndog Oh ok your getting shower screens they haven't popped them in yet then, the glass shouldn't make it feel small. We aren't actually having any screens just open walk in with a small dividing wall with an open recess. We just got a start estimation 1st week July, they will issue it officially end of next week they said once last couple of bits are signed. A little bit exciting I will wait til its official though That's great news Browndog! The countdown begins! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 1406Jun 06, 2015 9:03 am Finnsmamma The week we had rough in the SS said we'd also get bricks started, but they didn't start till the following Monday (last week) and worked all week as well as the plasterers. This week we had nothing Monday then Tuesday only the cornice went up while the waterproofer did his thing and the brickies finished off the front door and pillars (our brickies are way behind due to staff not turning up). We had no work Wednesday or yesterday and only a little will happen today with what the chippie has left of the soffit. Think of the delay with your brickwork as a very good thing, as it is giving the mortar plenty of time to set before the bricks get too high. I've seen a house in the next street get completely bricked up in just one day, and because the mortar hadn't had a chance to go off, the walls have bowed in or out, or the bricks not level. It was a GJ Gardiner house, but they no longer use this particular brickie anymore. I actually got a quote from this brickie at one stage before I was warned off from him. I later discovered that he operates under multiple names too. But Finnsmamma, think of your bricking delay as a bonus. Owner Building at Jimboomba Woods in Logan City Qld. Did your SS file a police report about the stolen windows? MatDon i cant help you there, we have the darkest door stain without upgrading and no stairs. I think it would look really striking though -just need to coordinate internal flooring to either blend or contrast the dark stain I guess. Thank you! I'm in love with the dark tiles in the Ensuite at the moment. Haha I had a hard time choosing the furniture... I'm not so good with colour combinations and stuff haha but I'm glad you think it's nice! Finnsmamma Yay Nick! Your house is really coming together. When was your site start- seems like your build has really powered along? Yayyyyy! I love that table too! And the black chairs, I think it'll be awesome later haha. I had the site start on April 8th. I haven't really had a stop in the construction except for the 3 days when it rained, and that was on a Friday anyway and through the weekend so it doesn't really count. There's also people there on the weekends doing something inside, like every week! I was at lock up 2 weeks ago. Quick! Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 15159 Hi so sorry for the late reply.
