Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Melsie 68 1561Mar 22, 2015 4:45 pm Well it IS a 4x4 - but so far, where I've taken it it didn't get a full bush bashing!! Looks like it's been keyed, all down two doors and scratched the front light as well. (No roo bar as yet) I've only had it just over a year... Re: Melsie 68 1562Mar 22, 2015 5:52 pm Lol trees .I know how you feel .tomorrow I will ring the stone people .im scared they will say it cant be fixed .then will come the cost .lol im willing to pay a couple of hundred . Trees would you claim your car on insurance. Thanks bez as the day goes on im feeling a bit better and coming to terms it was a accident lol . I know there is more to life than stressing about a home . Im learning to not be a stress head about everything that goes wrong .just gonna take me a little bit longer than most people lol Re: Melsie 68 1563Mar 22, 2015 6:00 pm Maybe I will claim Melsie, but have to check on no claim bonus... Yes I too am having to embrace the lived in look "sigh". Fingers crossed the price won't be too bad, and I reckon everyone will now try to take care a similar thing doesn't happen again Re: Melsie 68 1565Mar 23, 2015 4:36 am oh no Mels I really hope you can get it fixed for not too much. Bet your daughter is feeling really bad about it too - even though she might not show it. Accidents, eh! Re: Melsie 68 1566Mar 23, 2015 2:12 pm Bloody accidents he he .well I rang a company dr stone he said $250 . He said he does this everyday so he knows what he is doing . I would rather pay more to know I will be happy .he said would never be prefect but its half way down the waterfall edge so not a spot you look at . Just waiting for tomorrow for the company who put my stone in to contact me and see what they recon . Its funny coz now I know it can get fixed I might wait a bit lol Re: Melsie 68 1567Mar 24, 2015 7:34 pm Hi Melsie sorry about your stone. We had a chip in our stone in the other house (builders fault) it was a small one but once they had been and fixed i could not tell where it was. : ) Re: Melsie 68 1568Mar 24, 2015 7:52 pm Thanks sharry . Im still annoyed that it happen . And it can be fixed so im happy about that . I think because of the size of it I think it will be noticeable but eventually I wont even look there . Ok everyone I will post a pick . Re: Melsie 68 1571Mar 24, 2015 9:53 pm Yes it is pretty big. The guy who repaired ours said they are always getting called out to chips and that they are easily fixed. looking forward to the after shot : ) Re: Melsie 68 1572Mar 24, 2015 10:33 pm Its actually really easy to chip .I actually just missed judged a plate and put a really tiny chip on the bench (corner ) been fixed though cant see it now . I really like the look of stone .I have it in my bathrooms and laundry but I dont think they are that practical with moving children lol . Or even clumsy adults . He he .but its good to know chips can be fixed but at a cost . Re: Melsie 68 1573Mar 25, 2015 3:30 pm I did the same thing getting a cup out of the dishwasher. luckily it was underneath so you couldn't see it. I have told the kids and oh we are having all plastic things in the en suits and bathrooms. I will be going in after everyone checking the stone like a mad women Re: Melsie 68 1574Mar 25, 2015 11:10 pm Oh no Melsie!! I am surprised how easily stone bench tops can chip. I have a chip already too. don't even know how it got there. They recon that corona is easy to fix, but i might wait a little longer before getting it fixed....just in case. Toni's thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=71645 Re: Melsie 68 1575Mar 25, 2015 11:29 pm Lol sharry . I think the same thing when kids go in bathroom . I had some scented glass things in there .toke them out .just gotta wait till kids move out of home for some things . Even toke toilet brush out and extra toliet roll container things out of toilet . I now here kids yell out for more toilet paper lol . Tonk I was thinking the same thing . I was a mad women when it happened .but now I might wait a while . It would help if stone person would contact me back though .at least I know that I can fix it and don't need my builder to organise it . Because it would never get fixed lol Re: Melsie 68 1576Mar 30, 2015 9:15 am Geez Mels that is quite a chip - you have me worried now that the essastone is so easily chipped Good to know it can be fixed but why does it chip so easily grrrrr Re: Melsie 68 1578Mar 30, 2015 9:36 pm wow so sorry to hear about the chip, but it sounds very fixable! But now I'm concerned about my top as I didn't want stone as I am afraid of chipping even though we're pretty careful people! (I have an issue with chipped crockery so can only imagine what I'd be like with chipped stone tops!) I was just commenting on my own thread how we're going undermount sink as I prefer not seeing the lines around the sink and how we'll run the risk of chipping.. and now reading your thread it sounds like chipping is so easy to do. Ah well I can't do anything about it. And it's definitely a 1st world problem. And too late to be thinking about these sorts of things Re: Melsie 68 1579Mar 30, 2015 11:11 pm Hi Yvonne I think because I'm so careful things happen lol . That's a pretty major chip . I also chipped my bench on the top with a plate and that was only because I miss judged .daydreaming I think and it hit a edge . Under mount sinks you do need to be extra careful because there is stone there . Only I can wash dishes in my house lol . But remember most chips can be fixed and most people aren't going to hit there bench with a steel leg lol . I will put pictures up when I get chip fixed .which will be after the school holidays . Hopefully before and after shots will wow everyone . Re: Melsie 68 1580Apr 01, 2015 6:23 am I can't wait for the big reveal and the before and after shots! I wonder if they charge $250 for each chip? That would be a bit steep! |
