Do you have any idea how many days it takes for DA approval submitted to Campbeltown Council? Mine was lodged on 16 Jan to the council... Regards, Shaheen Hello Shaheen, I was told by a professional in the domain that council approval takes around 1 month, while CDC takes around 2 weeks. Any reason why you had to go to council ? Thanks Askanaan... I am not sure why it was submitted to council... I just came to know about the submission from my builder Rawson Homes... I will ask them about this... may be my plot got some restrictions due to padmount substation, just guessing though... Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 487Jan 30, 2015 9:30 am Hello everyone, As you know, Lancome settles they lands at "Scott Ashwood" in Sydney by default, and when you want to settle somewhere else, you had to pay $55. However did you have to pay any extra amounts to settle at Scott Ashwood offices? My conveyancer deducted a $55 cheque from my account without my consent and said they had to do so to settle in Scott Ashwood offices ! It will be added to the solicitor fee and will adjusted in my loan. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 489Jan 30, 2015 12:49 pm Gaggy Yes, I paid the same amount as well. Hi Gaggy, Is it clear why was this paid, I am arguing with my Solicitor on this amount (in addition to other un-expected fees). I think they are landcom's solicitor, but not sure. Did not bother for $55 as my solicitor stuffed other things around like giving me wrong final value, etc. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 491Jan 30, 2015 2:42 pm Hey Gaggy, Any word on when the fences will be taken down for Stage 12? Seems odd they are still up so long after registration! Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 492Jan 30, 2015 4:06 pm JandJ_OneMinto Hey Gaggy, Any word on when the fences will be taken down for Stage 12? Seems odd they are still up so long after registration! No. I will ask Landcom. Honestly it is better the fences stay longer for keep out the dumpers. Good to see that NBN will be available. If the neighbourhood is good, ( good looking parks, mall/market, Gym, Medical centre, school and station are so close and NBN to have fast internet) it will be awesome to live in here. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 493Jan 30, 2015 4:24 pm The park that was built as part of Stage 10 has been pumping on the weekends. I could see at the corner of the Elizabeth McRae and Tamborine drive, the barricades with boulders have been removed. And as expected, I can now see vandalism in the park ( Graffiti, crashed beer bottles on the turf etc.). The most terrible thing I found was drunk people are sitting under the shed in the park and had their bottles in hand. Children were playing around and he was drinking and making comments with "F" words. I'm not sure if that's what an expected level of tolerance we'd have to have for a children's park as I'm new to this area. Honestly, I was a bit shocked at that! I'm wondering if there is any way we can report it and can prevent it happening, coz I don't want my children experience these while they are playing and I'm sure many will agree with me. Thanks Rb Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 497Feb 02, 2015 9:36 am rubabshome I could see at the corner of the Elizabeth McRae and Tamborine drive, the barricades with boulders have been removed. Thanks Rb Hello Rb, Grafitti generally is found almost in every suburb around Sydney, I saw some writing on the stairs of the park which from memory said something about being "proud to be in Minto" or in these lines... Didn't look so bad. Drinking is another general problem in the streets, unless the council declares the area as Drinking not allowed Zone (usually with signs having from date - to date) I am not sure what other legislations affect this area. It looks like there are basis to complain to authorities given that this is a children's park. However if you see such a problem again, probably you can call the authorities to inquire if they can do something about it. I would do the same if I were there. Cheers.... Thanks Rb That is a bit shocking as we have gone multiple times there with kids to spend some time. Kids love the park. Will never want to see bogans around drinking. Best way is to report it to council. Thats what was done, when the bins were not emptied few months back and they were stinking. Things might change when people start living there. If not, something has to be done. Not alone but together. Re: Anyone Building at One Minto? 499Feb 02, 2015 6:34 pm
Things might change when people start living there. If not, something has to be done. Not alone but together.
Absolutely guys, present a united front to council and things can get done. When people start living there and takign ownership of their community, this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated. I don't think "the proud to live in Minto" is graffiti. I think it is something that the council has put up on the stairs of the park. In that case, it is graffiti from the council :p I live just around the corner from the Georges fair community in Moorebank and the area was hit with a bit of graffiti during the summer break. It happens everywhere. No sign of drunken louts, though. Hi I am wanting some opinions about the build of a steel shed I am going to get one about 4.5 x 2.5 m steel shed and the height will be about 2.3-2.4m high The one I am… 0 24788 6 12754 Exempt development if the house is existing. If it’s a new build it’s likely not an issue either but always call council to confirm. They’re usually very helpful. 3 13996 |
