Oh well! Things happen for a reason! We got hit with an unexpected extra $3175 variation to raise the pad to meet minimum flood level requirements. So the delayed start means we get a few more pays in the bank before we have to pay for it! We chose the Carrara Bianco hexagon mosaic tiles Fell in love with them on The Block this year! Also using the same stone but penny rounds in the ensuite (also featured on The Block!) Re: Coral Homes general build thread 56Dec 11, 2014 6:13 pm We would have liked slab before Christmas but might have to make do with the site scrape and retaining walls. We were lucky enough that we escaped any flood level requirements but we were instead hit with bushfire requirements. A nice $7k hit to the budget. We have been lucky however that our land registration was delayed by 5 months so that have plenty of extra saving time. Great choice on the tiles too - like us I bet you can't wait to see them go in! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 57Dec 12, 2014 7:49 pm Our ACC was finally issued yesterday. Our build will start on 12th January. So excited! It's getting close! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 59Dec 13, 2014 2:32 pm Congrats daydream at least this way u shouldn't have too many public holidays and shut down periods right after starting the build :p We now have gutters and cavity slider frames installed and our bathroom window frame has been fixed but more in my thread oh and our roof tiles have been delivered as well so I think they will install them before Xmas because I don't think they would leave them sitting there over Xmas. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 60Dec 14, 2014 9:47 am s_mack Great news. Congratulations daydream_build Thanks! What appliances did you end up getting? You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14598 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 14973 Hi so sorry for the late reply.
