Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 830Nov 20, 2014 12:06 pm Interesting ^^ Should look pretty good! Speaking of JS though, this may interest you: http://www.penrithcitygazette.com.au/st ... -a-record/ Also for handover - you have your final inspection, take the obligatory facebook photos then go over to the head office to pick up the keys, organise appliance delivery/installation and settle your final account (and also get hit up for $ one last time Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 831Nov 23, 2014 8:24 am Hey everyone, Fantastic news for you guys who have moved in. Well done Good luck to my fellow builders as we all sit on the roller coaster together for next year. Things are moving very slowly for us. We won't be starting our build until early next year and will keep you all posted. Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 832Nov 23, 2014 8:57 am Hi everyone, We are on drawing floor plan stage, do anyone know how much will they charge if we want to do custom design? Before one lady from Kurmond tell me they will charge 1% from house design I choose but now they tell me they will charge 1k for 1sq I have change!!! Anyone can give me any idea about it...please... Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 833Nov 25, 2014 9:47 am Hi victoria_gill, We are slightly ahead of you in the process and have customised quite a bit. If you are changing the house structurally, you'll need to allow for around $990 per sqm of living space and around $550 per sqm for alfresco/garage space that you add + any steel beams required if a two storey etc. Remember that if changing the size of the two storey section, you'll need to add the floor space for both floors in to that formula! Internal wall changes they will likely do for nothing as that has less impact to the building itself. Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 836Dec 20, 2014 9:41 pm How's everyone going here? Ready for Christmas? This 2 day I see on Facebook have few couples complete their house this is an amazing Christmas present! Do anyone know which tiles and carpet company Kurmond use and which color paint Kurmond will use? Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 837Dec 21, 2014 4:54 pm It is great to see how many people have made it into their new homes for Christmas! We originally thought that we would be one of them too we have found out that our construction certificate has been held up now too so our hopes of finally starting in January have also been crushed. If only they were not having such a long closure period. Once the cc has been lodged it's another 5 weeks of waiting. I just try and reassure myself that they must be doing lots on their side to keep things moving along... It's so disappointing seeing all of the houses around us going up so fast and we are at a stand still. Oh well we should hopefully be in by next christmas LOL Hi Victoria_Gill The tile/wood floor company is 'Manago Tiles', they are located a few minutes away from Kurmond's office. You will visit the store to choose your flooring selection. The carpet company they use is 'carpet call' and you will see their carpet when you do your interior selection app, unless you want a wider variety of colours to choose from and then you can make an app with the guy they use. They use Taubmans paint.... You will also see many examples on your interior selection app. Hope this helps Merry Christmas!! Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 838Dec 22, 2014 7:09 am Hi See_78, thank you for you help I think your house will be finish before next Christmas!!! At least u know Kurmond will start building your house early next year...we still waiting for our land to register and we still on the floor plan stage... I have go to Manago Tiles website to check out the tiles but they don't show the tiles in there...I have to find one day go to their store to check out the tiles Re: Building with Kurmond Homes 839Dec 22, 2014 6:00 pm Victoria_Gill It feels like we will never get to the end of this process, unfortunately our pre build process has been going since October last year But 2015 will be our year! The tile website isn't great but when you go for a visit all of the tiles marked with a green sticker are in the normal price range any orange stickers are an upgrade so it is set up well in the store and makes the tiles easy to explore.... Make sure you have some idea of what you want so that your are not to overwhelmed. And I see the example photo for the bathroom is not the style I like...I hope when I there I can find something that I like I think at the end I will spend a lots of money to do the upgrade I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending. All their existing trades and businesses don't work with… 14 110753 Hi there!
