what ur bc told you about the bushfire levy? are we getting it back once our block is not on the actual bushfirezone?i dont know why were having different sitecost knowing that were on same estate!may i know how big is your block? thank you

Im, not quite sure I will have to ask. all I know is that if there are houses beginning to be built behind our estate before ours begins to be built then our bushfire levy will be taken off. I don't think we would get the levy back if it ends up changing after our house is built. Melvinglenncallejo we are in different estates, i am building in Greenvale

make sure when you to ur electrical appointment just put down lights on where u want to put them,dont let them decide for you because theyre goin to put as much as they can so that they can have commision!

hi our site cost that was written in the contract is 19,500, hmpppp, did you pay for bushfire levy? we did and its additional cost for us like 5k

Any particular reason why they have kept site cost at 19,500 ?? I think when you get your final contract this will be reduced, 19.5k in Allura is high i guess
our sales rep added 14k as a allowance for our site cost.

sorry i forgot what reason they gave us abhie,they are goin to conduct another soil test again and reimburse if they need to which is a bit unclear to us since we really dont have any idea becoz this is our first build!

Hi All,

Thing to remember is that we are not all building the same spec house, we are all having different options, rumpus, grand rumpus and so on. Also other factors such as the soil type and is there a cut and fill required all these will impact the site costs. Therefore we cannot compare the site costs unless its apples for apples.

we had the same problem but by the time we noticed it was too late as we had signed the contract. In our contract it says colour is colorbond colour and material is sync alumnium. IMO colourbond colour is highly misleading. Not sure if it is intentional.

Hi emily,

It is not colour bond, only colour will be matched as per colour bond. Colour bond gutters are an upgrade. They are zinc aluminium, I chose to go with zinc gutters. Did a lot of research both options have positives and negatives. In the end used my money for other options.

Please post some more pictures of your house, inside and outside if it is ok.

How do you find the family room space and kitchen space, does the open plan feel like more space ?

Apologies I didn't realize this was a general topic. I thought it was someone's build.

Anyway, we are using Darbecca. I cannot comment on their performance yet as we are yet to start building but their initial service has been great!

Other options we considered are:

- Building Expert
- New Home Inspections
