I've been there a couple of times but the problem is that as all the blocks have been sold they don't really have much reason to man it all the time anymore. So it's a bit of a lucky dip if anyone is going to be there or not.

I emailed the guy who I've been dealing with since day 1 and he seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. So then I rang their head office and got the name and contact details of another person who I could liase with so I emailed her a couple of times to see where things were at, and got no response. I rang again and got someone else who said she'd get someone to call me the next day - that was over a week ago and I still haven't heard anything. Hey Dani We have been in contact with Bain (he's a sales rep down at twin waters at nowra) do you have his details? Let me know if you need his number or email address? Craig has also been speaking with Mandy from head office but I'm not sure what her position is at new living homes. Have u received anything from stocklands saying your house has gone to them for final developers approval? Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 3925Sep 29, 2014 4:37 pm MadamImAdam James+Ash We were expecting to need to have the flooring done (we were doing it ourselves) plus install a clothesline but when we were issued full occupancy certificate first inspection. We went through private certificate though this could be a little different from council but hoping for by your sake it's not. Otherwise I'm guessing you will get an interim certificate giving you access to the property but can't 'officially move in' as such. We thought we would have this issue which also affected the finally payout from the bank to finalize handover. Thanks for the info As it stands I'll expect to require a clothesline and to provide a landing to external doors. I'm thinking just a temporary pre-formed concrete step. Hi guys, we finally got connected to NBN today, loving the speed and loving living at Brooks Reach! Been such a busy time but really enjoying being in our beautiful new home and setting it up! MadamImAdam, we were private certifier and got an interim certificate - only reason we didn't get a final was because it says we have to retain our site cut (which we are still in the planning phase for anyway). But it never mentioned clothesline or a landing for the front of our house (we have a bit of a drop from the front patio) which I was surprised about but no complaints Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 3926Sep 29, 2014 8:22 pm Hi all - wa wondering if anyone could recommend a good building inspector based inthe illawarra? We hAve some concerns about our slab and want to get an independent opinion on next steps! Thanks Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 3927Oct 01, 2014 8:45 am Hi everyone- I am looking for a builder/handyman who does small jobs. We want to change our laundry door to a window. It is really hard to find someone for work like this- any contacts would be greatly appreciated. Also need a carpenter to put in some cupboards in my laundry and a roofing person to extend our alfresco. I finally got on to a lady called Amanda who told me that my plans had come back last Thursday. They're just waiting on one last thing which they expected to be approved yesterday and then my bank can issue them with the approval to commence build. I'm hoping this shouldn't take any more than a couple of weeks. Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 3929Oct 01, 2014 12:37 pm Hi everyone, Can I ask- did anyone get a hamper/gift basket from Stocklands after purchasing their land? Thanks Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 3930Oct 01, 2014 2:02 pm neat_1988 Hi everyone, Can I ask- did anyone get a hamper/gift basket from Stocklands after purchasing their land? Thanks I didn't get anything. If I remember correctly some of the other stages received some sort of gift from Stocklands after settlement. Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 3931Oct 01, 2014 2:09 pm neat_1988 Hi everyone, Can I ask- did anyone get a hamper/gift basket from Stocklands after purchasing their land? Thanks Both times I got a picnic blanket, some chocolates and a bottle of sparkling. Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 3932Oct 01, 2014 2:20 pm Okay cool- Dani it's probably coming. I had a call from a place today confirming my address saying they had a gift basket to deliver to me from Stocklands.....I was like is this legit lol but I guess it is.... Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 3933Oct 01, 2014 2:51 pm Definitely legit we got one too Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 3936Oct 02, 2014 5:11 am The basket is for real. I went to see Sharon the other day in the office and she asked if we had received ours yet. I told her no so she emailed stocklands saying no one in stage 10 had received there hamper so could they sort it. We not heard anything yet. We also applied for the $500 Visa card which you got if you were recommended by someone. Well our son recommended us so we both get the Visa card. Not got that yet either. They are quick to take your money but not so quick to part with it. Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 3937Oct 02, 2014 10:19 am neat_1988 Okay cool- Dani it's probably coming. When I checked my phone yesterday afternoon I had a missed call and a message asking to call the number back. I did, and I got a guy who just said something about a free gift and wanted me to confirm my address. He didn't say he was from Stocklands straight away so I was thinking SCAM too! Haha. He said it should arrive on Saturday morning. Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 3938Oct 08, 2014 7:47 pm SSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO What is the latest with everyone>? Its been pretty quiet in here. Hoping that is due to everyone being busy with finalising their houses ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Built the Nova with MJH completed Dec 2013 Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 3939Oct 09, 2014 6:42 pm It's been very quiet! I agree James hopefully everyone is busy finalising their builds We heard the cows late last night when putting our bins out, love living here! Form work started on our driveway yesterday however pouring the concrete has come to a halt due to our sewer pit needing Sydney Water to come and raise it. Very annoyed as our concreter told us he'd take care of all that but was gonna take care of it as in dodge around Sydney Water's rules just so he could hurry up and get the job done. All well and good but will he come back and rip up our drive way and re-pour it for free when Sydney Water find out and we get in trouble for not doing it properly? Didn't think so! So the process with Sydney Water will take a few weeks unfortunately but glad we are opting to do it properly. At least we can see the size our driveway will be with the form work sitting there LOL. Re: Building in Brooks Reach - Community Thread 3940Oct 13, 2014 11:29 am Hi, Yes it has been quite. The latest for us is we are still waiting on getting a driveway, and side path poured. We had an excavator come in last week only to discover that MJH had kindly left our piering dirt spread over our backyard instead of it being piled and removed by themselves. I am now in the process of trying to get them to remove it from site. They have been there this morning and it is kind of you should/we should at the moment. There is a massive amount of 'fill that has been piled up from not even half our backyard. The fill pretty much reaches the top of the fence line. We are so happy about this NOT!!!!!!!!
