It appears to be a single (or maybe 2) sprays and there does not appear to be any primer or undercoat used. Now they are scratching so easily with paint literally peeling off when scratched. The corner of a cardboard box causes the paint to scratch to the original paint let alone my toddler peeling off the paint. My questions: 1. Is there any solution such as repainting with a laquer/polyurethane or other product to seal the paint 2. Help! 3Sep 15, 2014 1:56 pm Ask him to come back and fix it. generally you don't have to prime it again if the existing surface is good, but wipe it down with mineral turps to make sure it's clean and then give it a light sand if it is old.
