At first I thought artificial stone to look like the real thing wouldn't look that good but I've since seen a couple of walls done in it and I couldn't tell the difference. One thing I liked too is that Boral gives it a 50 year warranty! Another is that a lot of these are only 30-40mm thick. A lot lighter than real stone which is usually thicker. The effect was stunning and added character to the house. There must also have been a saving on the stone cladding. Some clever detailing would be required to get the weatherboard/stone cladding junctions right and also the relative proportions of stone & weatherboard.
