If you allocate real space co-ordinates to your house model you can then 'switch on' Shadows and the model will how you how the sun will create shadows on your model for every hour of the day and every day of the year. I found it indispensable for orientating my house, and designing my eaves to permit maximum winter sun ingress whilst prohibiting summer sun from entering into the house at all. (Also if you go to: Window/Styles/Edit - and untick profiles, Extension and Endpoints you will get rid of those nasty black dots where every line meets!)
