Browse Forums Increasing Home Value 1 Aug 14, 2014 3:43 pm Hi, can upgrade facade of our new build to glass balcony with stacker entertainer doors leading out to it. This would cost us $9000 extra. Am wondering if doing this would add any value to the house in the long run??? Anyone had experience with glass balcony?? Would you recommend one or was it too much trouble with cleaning, sun etc Thanks Re: Glass balcony to facade adds value? 2Aug 16, 2014 9:49 am I think I replied to this before. Maybe I didn't hit send lol. I love glass balustrade and found the wire balustrade expensive anyway. It provides wind protection without ruining the view. In regards to cleaning, a Glassshield treatment is awesome. You only need to hose it down and it's clean after the rain. Glass company can put icon or you can buy it yourself from Bunnings. I guess the value depends on what the builder is offering you as standard?
