Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 409Apr 11, 2014 5:52 am We did the stalking block thing. Only thing is we live 25 mins away from block. So a stalk was almost an hour round trip. But has to be done. It's the best when you see a little bit if progress. Dream - sounds like you had fun. If it gets that hot I think if pass out. You did so well to stay in the for 2 hours. Eden Brae Drysdale 27 | The Blog Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 410Apr 11, 2014 9:54 am Yay!!!! Red pegs!!! Thanks for letting me know Airy!!! I will head up there after I pick up my son from daycare. I work in the city so it's hard to get up there as often as I would like especially now that it's dark so early now. I'm so excited over red pegs haha Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 413Apr 13, 2014 7:19 am Hi sunrise. Are u on Darug? There was a slab that looked freshly poured when we drove past yesterday. Who are you building with? We are on Darug. First block on the right after the fence. We are building with wisdom and just paid the $1000 to get a fixed priced tender: Congrats on the slab pour! It will fly quickly now. Hopefully the rain holds off Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 414Apr 13, 2014 9:33 am Sunrise1 Hi all. Our slab was poured this morning. We got a real surprise when we drove up. It was not due till next week. We are very very happy!!!! Congrats Sunrise! That is awesome. I think I may have seen you on Friday morning up at your block (were you there?). I wanted to yell out hello sunrise but thought about the fact that if it wasn't you, I'm going to come across a bit of a nutter calling two people I don't know "sunrise"... Lol. Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 415Apr 13, 2014 11:59 am Lstr123 yes we are on Darug and that slab is ours. Sounds great to say it!! We are building a Cremorne with Eden Brae. So far everything is ok. Our SS seems to have a good reputation which I found out from others building. He normally does their display homes. The gate was ajar up there yesterday so we had a short stroll up to the end of Darug. The blocks beyond the fence are almost flat and have a nice view back to the mountains. I hope everything moves quickly for you. It will be so nice to have a developed street. When is your land being registered. It will be a great day for you when the fence comes down. Dreamhome that was us. I thought it might have be you the other morning or the owners from the plot across the road. If you see us again say hello. We are up there most mornings before work and at night on the way home!!! We live locally which makes it easier. We luck nutters so that would have been ok with us if you had called out. It is all very exciting. How is your build going? I don't expect much to happen now until after Easter. But who knows they surprised once already! Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 416Apr 13, 2014 12:14 pm Oh awesome. A few darugers I have met now dream home- your waffle pods were blowing everywhere yesterday. I moved a bag off the road back to your block but it was hella windy. My block is meant to register mid July however Jeff has told us they are running along smoothly and may even be ready mid June! Yes. The blocks are really flat which is good as can't afford to have a whopper site cost with the way this build is going already. We chose that block as it was right on the peak - Jeff did look after us also. God bless him We are now waiting for the next 4 weeks to pass to get a fixed priced tender. Let's hope a pool is on the budget... One can dream! Also - we really want the wood look tiles and have done abit of research. Dilorenzo wanted to charge an extra $20k ontop to supply and lay. Wtfreak??? We have decided we will do all the flooring ourselves after handover as can get it done for approx 14k. So it will be approx 10k after the 4k credit. Massive difference! Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 417Apr 13, 2014 12:29 pm Hi, is anyone building with Adenbrook or Elderton at Mulgoa. Hows the experience been so far. Ta Re: Anyone building in Mulgoa Rise? 418Apr 13, 2014 12:29 pm That all sounds great Lstr123. The pods might of been ours. We picked up a few too and put them on our rubbish pile. The wood look tiles are beautiful. My hubby liked them too but the cost was too much. Our site costs came in at $22k at tender. Good luck with it all. The admin time seems to go on forever but that for us was due to land registration and council. We also had the Christmas break at the council stage. If you see us up there please stop. It would be nice to meet our neighbours. We have met the young man building two blocks down from us. His house us looking very nice. We are on bluestone and there is a block directly behind us that is red pegged. Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you.
