Well.....the ones who are constructing are frustrated of the weather.........it is B****y raining every day. Re: Voyager Point - Heartwood 337Apr 11, 2014 9:30 am KazAvi @ mishy, how long have you guys been in council so far? Our DA was registered on 21 March, so only 3 weeks. Our builder said Liverpool Council is notoriously slow and to allow at least 12 weeks. Although Ren said she had a faster turn around time then that so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Hi Mishy, as soon as we could see a name for our assessor (on the LCC website), I called to introduce myself and make sure she had everything she needed.I then called every one to two weeks to check on things. It turned out to be a good thing as when they were missing things from my builder, or there were mistakes, I was able to be on top of things being addressed quickly. I always found them very helpful at Council. Not fast, but helpful. We have now entered 'construction' stage and Masterton have 20 days from Wednesday to commence. That does not include rain days so I hope the sun comes out soon. Our build contract will take us to December and I don't hold much hope of being in by Christmas. I hope someone with a finished home will take pity on me and invite me over for a drink, I really wanted to celebrate Christmas at VP this year. Re: Voyager Point - Heartwood 340Apr 18, 2014 4:53 pm Hi All, Been very busy in office, so could not blog at all. Our house has progressed reasonably well at 84 Warraburra way. it's up to the first floor frames and if it does not rain, the roof frames will be up on Tuesday. I am pleased with Clarendon for the progress and prompt replies and with our Site manager' s updates. It's been so exciting, even if I come back late from office, I make it a point to go and visit everyday to see the progress. My poor hubby has to reverse and put his headlights in high beam for me to investigate the progress:) I am sure you all must be feeling the same. I am also doing a photo blog of the progress. My daughter the other day was so excited about our sir name being spray painted on the timber. She is saying Now Daddy's name is on the timber frames. Btw, I saw a Masterton coming up right behind our plot. would love to say hello to you neighbhour. That's it from me !!! Lot 84 Warraburra Way. Would love to hear your building experiences!!! Please share if you can Cheers Hi, I have this sewer inspection point sitting in an odd spot in the rear of my yard: https://imgur.com/ghLI98q What I'd like to do is put a firepit in that corner of… 0 6995 |
