Hi, i've been looking at this topic for the past year and getting inspiration for our kitchen. Just want to share our kitchen.

Here is our little kitchen in our new house. Really happy with how it turned out. And just by luck we found a kitchen trolley which fits in perfectly between the end of the island bench and the wall. So we can have the option of a longer bench or not (which is really handy in a not so massive kitchen!
We just painted a blackboard on the wall at the end of the bench too.

What are peoples thoughts on our splashback? it is a little different but we really like it.

I think it really suits your kitchen colour scheme, and gives a really individual look while tying the black and white theme in. Well done!

there were loads of colours available, and originally we were going to go with something bright but we chickened out! haha.
I'll take a close up pic later. But here's one we took while choosing:

That splashback is AWESOME I love seeing something other then glass (not that glass is not beautiful)

A few snaps of our kitchen... The splash back was laid incorrectly, so it has been ripped out to be done again. It will be a more staggered look once complete

I love how you've used the wood laminex and framed the back of the bench, and contrasted with the cabinet kicks. You've achieved a lovely warm feel which can sometimes be missing in an all white kitchen. The contrast is also very restful. A great relaxing space to work in. Well done!
