We also went to Melbourne to checkout the display at cranbourne. And we loved it! we got the daiken aircon included for free/promo. Did you take any pics of the house in Melbourne by any chance Metricon Glendale 38 - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75696&p=1298363#p1298363 Selections: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75696&start=60 Tiles - p25 Re: Anyone building Metricons Glendale 34/38 in sydney? 7Mar 23, 2014 2:28 pm Hi Monalisa, If you can make it down to melbourne it's well worth the trip. We went to the cranbourne display here are the pics http://metriconhomes.zenfolio.com/p294214695 the first two pages are from the cranbourne melbourne display Re: Anyone building Metricons Glendale 34/38 in sydney? 8Mar 23, 2014 10:08 pm Phoenix7 Hi Monalisa, If you can make it down to melbourne it's well worth the trip. Do you think there will be any major differences in quality and finish or is it just a marketing tactic?? Thanks Building Fairmont 35 in Sydney Re: Anyone building Metricons Glendale 34/38 in sydney? 10Mar 25, 2014 3:30 pm Hi Dare2dream, we were in the same boat as you! decisions decisions. But after a visit to the display in cranbourne at melbourne the floorplan won us over. We have added things as displayed. The display is a very designer style home. We are basically turning the metro to a designer choosing the things we would want. The phoenix has a very similar floorplan which makes it a hard decision. I guess it comes down to what you prefer i.e 5th bedroom upstairs (which the phoenix has) you can then add the dining option and you have the choice of the oakpark facade if thats what you like. We really liked the massive kitchen on display the whole house ticked all the boxes for us. The best way to narrow it down is to look at your standard designer inclusions versus the metro. And decide if the promotion is benefiting you in anyway and if your happy with the floorplan and final costing. Re: Anyone building Metricons Glendale 34/38 in sydney? 11Mar 25, 2014 8:59 pm I'd like to add that Phoenix does not have an outdoor room or alfresco ; where as Glendale includes it. We preferred the Glendale floor plan over Phoenix. We want to add a 5th bedroom upstairs and a family room (like the Nolan) downstairs and with all those changes the price is less than if we went with Pheonix with dinning room// outdoor room addition so I guess I am getting a bit nervous since they say you get what you pay for. We are at a similar stage as well and put down our $2,000 for our soil testing. We are planning to build in Hornsby council. Our land has a bit of a slope so also nervous that site costs will be high. Phoenix7, since you have had the chance to see the display, what are your thought on the kitchen? Did it feel spacious? Is anyone considering a butlers pantry? Thanks Building Fairmont 35 in Sydney Re: Anyone building Metricons Glendale 34/38 in sydney? 14Mar 28, 2014 9:11 pm Hi Dare to Dream We are getting a butlers pantry, with an additional stove and oven. We'll be adding the butlers pantry as displayed as well as the kitchen as displayed . Bit pricey but well worth it . If you have less then 1m fall on your block you shouldn't be charged heaps. And your consultant normally provides the worst case scenario based on your plans they will put provisions Re: Anyone building Metricons Glendale 34/38 in sydney? 16Mar 31, 2014 12:49 pm Phoenix7 Hi, The kitchen is impressive and very spacious I would have to say its the best kitchen out of all their displays here in syd! The butlers pantry does look great too. Monalisa, yours will be very functional (and fancy) with the extra oven and stove. I really want lots of storage for appliances and food so I was thinking of just getting lots of shelves but a butlers pantry is such an amazing luxury I am really torn. 50mm bench tops will also be amazing Phoenix7. Is there much cost difference in price for 40vs50? Monalisa, are you planning on getting 40mm? We had our soil tests done today so I have my fingers crossed the costs don't blow out too much so we can get all those little things I'd love. Does anyone else also need a rainwater run off storage tank? Thanks, Building Fairmont 35 in Sydney Re: Anyone building Metricons Glendale 34/38 in sydney? 19Apr 01, 2014 3:39 pm hi dare2dream, not sure what the price difference will be but doubt it will be something very ridiculous as it's only a mitred edge at the front and side of the island bench area the rest is 20 ( like the display) Re: Anyone building Metricons Glendale 34/38 in sydney? 20Apr 01, 2014 7:10 pm Does anyone know if the floor tiles in the Cranbourne display home are an upgrade or included in the promotion? They look great. Building Fairmont 35 in Sydney No idea about the driveway question, but your price for a house that size including landscaping seems very good! 1 6566 Looking to tile the facade pillars rather than rendering. Builder is quoting 2500$ laying cost for upto 10msq. The 2 pillars come to be 16msq. So laying costs are 5000$… 0 8629 0 3620 |
