For those who interested in the render cost (on brickwork) , we been quote for $67/sqm

Just back from tender

1. 2400high*3200wide stained timber patio sliding door ILO 2100high*3000wide aluminum sliding door --$ 2,625

2. 2400high*3200wide stained timber patio sliding door ILO 1500high*2600wide aluminum window --$ 2,974

Does this sounds right?

Sounds about right to me given what we were quoted for timber bi-folds, windows etc. We had a quote for $3,819 for a 2100mm high x 3600mm wide Bi-Fold.

Just remember that with timber external doors, you need to stain it yearly to keep your warranty on the door

thanks for the input. we cetainly do not have paitence to do a yearly paint, maybe an aluminium one will be better for us

BTW, you know your Bi-Fold is Hardwood timber or MDF? Does PD specify that ?

First time heard A&L ,

I thought PD's door supplier is Corinthian doors........

My understanding (well for our build!) is A&L do the windows and sliding doors and Corinthian do the internal doors and entrance doors. We are building a lifestyle home and I think suppliers change between Access, Prestige & Lifestyle. Of course things may have changed, as I know PD moved suppliers for bricks, plumbing supplies etc late last year. Best to check with your BC.

Also , how much to upgrade to the terra cotta roof tile ?

To upgrade to the same as in the display at Williams Landing (8mm thick frameless shower screen in lieu of standard) it was $2,821 for the master - and $7,506 for three ensuites in beds 2, 3 and 4 (even though we only have two ensuites in the minor bedrooms) so would be $2,502 per minor ensuite.

tell me about it, as soon as I saw the price they had to go!. Sorry did not get any other shower screen related prices.

Good Question Scotty and I have no idea. We wanted Terracotta Tiles and they showed us a brochure and we picked one we liked. Then it was listed at Cat 7 Tiles in the Contract.

Good Question Scotty and I have no idea. We wanted Terracotta Tiles and they showed us a brochure and we picked one we liked. Then it was listed at Cat 7 Tiles in the Contract.

Thx B , I got the broucher, the one we like is Maeseille - charcoal , finger cross , they are not cat 7............

That's exactly what we got. Same colour too. I reckon the cement tiles with standard profile are Cat 1 and then it works it's way up through different profiles through to the Cat 7 for terracotta tiles.

A bit like how Cat 1 carpets are crappy nylon carpets and Cat 7 are wool carpets (ie there are no Cat 1 wool carpets)

We been quote for $1450 , but also heard there are 2 types of timber looking garage doors, ( the other is $1000) , not sure what is the difference ....
