I will stick with the 36 cm. As for the question about LED or incandescent, I'm not sure, I'm guessing incandescent - data sheet for product says: "Philips Ambiance, Energy Saver Globe" It's this one: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Lighting is so confusing, it's a shame I'm such a sucker for beautiful lights. Gets more complicated by the minute! So any clues for this scenario: 3 metre bench, choice of 36 cm diameter or 45 cm diameter pendant (same pendant), bench height standard 940mm, ceiling height 28 course bulkhead (2.4 m), probably needs minimum 50 cm length for hanging. (Couldn't post pic, so here's the link: http://www.dunlinhome.com/products/tita ... ight-black) My husband and I had the pendant up on the telly screen yesterday, enlarged to real size and our measuring tapes out to show bench length. We thought 2 pendants were enough, but we didn't think about light output/shadows. Back to the drawing board.... ( Might have to go for a more delicate pendant and move to 3.) What size did you end up using? I too only want to use 2 larger size pendants over our island which is only small at 2.4m but we have high ceilings at 3.1m. Fell in love with the coco too but can't afford it so just going the replica polk. It comes in 30cm and 46cm diameter and I'm totally stuck on what will look "right"!! Re: Pendant light diameter? Getting the scale right. 17Jun 29, 2016 12:12 am We used two 45cm Titan pendants from Dunlin. Our bench is 3m x 1.2m Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ . I think it's worked out just right. Getting the scale right. 18Jun 30, 2016 10:23 am I think they look perfect Great choice! Our island is much smaller at 2.4m x 1100m so I don't think the 46cm will work but our ceilings are 3.1m so the next size down 30cm might be too small ( i really want just two not the common look of three pendants) I really need a size in between I think!! Arrr so frustrating! Re: Pendant light diameter? Getting the scale right. 19Jun 30, 2016 9:53 pm Ooh. That ceiling height is a bit tricky. If you are feeling brave, I think two pendants hung at different heights would look great, especially if they were hung off centre, as a "group". http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 I'm putting a new floor in my kitchen, slate flagging on a standard concrete slab.
