Anyone has upgraded the kitchen appliance ( cooker, oven) and get the credit back for the standard promotion offer -the blanco 900 upright cooker ( RRP @ 3500)?

Interested to know how much credit PD will give for that?

hi, new to the forum, building the waldorf. I have deleted all appliances out of my house - was not happy with them and am sourcing my own. I had the upgraded appliance package. they have only quoted a credit of approx. $1,500 in total for all (dishwasher, cooker/oven, rangehood).

no - at this stage buying my own and putting them in after handover. We renovated our kitchen two years ago and I love my appliances and wanted to get the same. induction cooktop, pyrolitic ovens and steam oven. all bosch/siemens.

has anyone added a building water (billi) or similar tap to their kitchen.
also, hot water temperature controllers with their hot water system - to go in bathrooms and kitchen?

We have a couple of those at my workplace. .. awesome stuff no need to wait for kettle to boil! But unfortunately it cost a few grand to install..

they have said they can't do the boiling (can't believe I typed building!) water tap but then told me they have one in their office! I guess they didn't build their offices - must have got another builder in

Still waiting to see if they can do the Rinnai controllers. We have them in our current house which we built with Metricon 10 years ago... so you would think it would be able to happen.

First post in this thread. Most of my costs were in line with what everyone has already posted but I have a few big ones that seemed to be 'off' to me. Hoping someone can tell me if they are in the right ballpark

Local Government & OHS - $19,270: includes manual handling charge due to overhead power lines, partial removal of fence due to garage set on boundary, 1 spotswood glazed window, and other standard items (permits, etc.,)
Feature Window : $3,420: Provide 1No 1500mm high x 3600mm wide aluminium 1 lite fixed window to the Dining Room in lieu of 2No. 1800mm high x 500mm wide aluminium fixed windows
Stacker door - $2,329: Provide 1No. 2400mm high x 3600mm wide aluminium Stacker Door to Living / Alfresco wall in lieu of the standard 1No 2100mm high x 3000mm wide aluminium sliding door

They look really pricey to me, maybe all double what they should be? These are custom items so there's no set pricing in their system and I am guessing they just make up a rough number.

Tender prices from last week.

- relocate meter box to opposite side of house ($402)
- 2.1m x 2.55m wide roller door to garage ($122)
- Double glazing to all clear windows and two sliding doors ($6,100)
- Awning window instead of sliding window to 11 windows ($1,300)
- 10x Corinthian Deco 3 doors ($962)
- 2340 x 1200 BADJ pivot door with sidelights ($4722)
- upgrade to high efficiency brivis heating unit and network controller ($1729)

No pricing yet for insulation and sisalation. Apparently that will occur after energy rating at contract.

This stacker door was around $1500 few months backs. That's a steep increase in price.

I'm still trying to figure out this ohs and govt charges. I thought it should be part of fixed site cost?

Site Costs are a separate item.

My Local Government and OHS was only $2000... what is written down as the reason for being $18000?

The Local Government and OHS includes the following:
- Asset Protection Permit
- Crushed rock to building perimeter to non-standard build zone
- Manual handling charge due to site restrictions
- Provide Temp Crossing Protection
- Obscured windows to two windows

Paying it forward here are prices I have obtained for upgrades in our tender (Will post some more as I get them) :

* Bathroom 2 Option - $376
* Change Ceiling Height to Ground Floor from 2590mm to 2740mm - $4411
* Garage Workshop Option - $6,623
* Provide 2 aluminium awning windows 2100mm high x 900 wide in lieu of standard 1800mm high and 600mm wide in the lounge - $52
* Provide two 2340mm high flush panel hinged and latched door in lieu of standard opening in study - $532
* Provide 720mm wide flush panel door to access under stair storage from the pantry $190
2340mm high by 1200mm wide INFWS 8G Pivot Door & 1 sidelight with clear glazing - $3,647
* Staining of Pivot Door internal and external - $198
* Staining of front door entry frame - $99
* Stained finish in lieu of paint to 7 timber windows up to 3000mm wide - $2,420

Hi Scott2233,

It is just an additional melamine shelf 450mm wide so I think it is dimensioned the same as the shelves already standard in the robes. It has been placed at 2000mm from floor level (the other shelf is 1650mm from floor level). It will run the full length of all robes. I don't have a photo but they I am sure it will be done like the shelving in the pantry with probably some extra supports in the middle somewhere due to the length. We did this in our current house when we built it, otherwise it is just a massive big space. Good for extra storage. I am waiting for a price to put in a bank of shelving 800mm wide also in the master robe, then might get narrower ones in the minor bedrooms. I am also waiting for prices on extra shelves in the pantry and under-bench cabinets in the pantry so will have updated prices on here soon...

There were a few things that we had added on as upgrades which are in the new promotions and of course more that I would have liked. I tried to switch but PD would not let me saying if I did I would lose other promos/incentives that we have and also we would have to get a new site start and reset the whole process which would push our timeframe way out, delaying it all by 4-5 months. Wasn't worth fighting for to get pushed back to square one...

So you're not on the Dream Big promo? I think that I have gotten myself a bit confused!

No, We are on the Dreams Wait for No-One promo - the one before Dream Big. Dream Big is basically the same but with more upgrades (including ceiling height and the outdoor kitchen). Had to weight up whether it was worth losing other promos (incl. flooring) and paying the increased base price for the house etc.

For those that are building a Waldorf, to have cupboards put at each and of the laundry it will cost you $850 up the Garage and and $775 up the Theatre end.
