Hi Everyone,
I am here seeking for suggestions.
Currently I am building with my house with Carlisle homes.
2013 September started building,
In late September, CLE / Client Liaison Executive came to me saying the basin in the contract was no longer an option.
I have to pick another one from new options.
I did some research before I made my decision.
At that time Carlisle did not have this raymor basin in their display center/Carlisle home spectra.
So I went to tradelink and see the real product.
In the end, I picked "Sapphire Small Undercounter Basin"
Most basins have one slope side that should against the front for ergonomic reasons.
There is a overflow hole to the slope side for this basin; and it is easier to tell the orientation by judging this overflow hole.
According to official product Features
*Overflow positioned at the front.
However, they installed all my 6 basins overflow positioned at the rear.
I pointed out this issue back in November 2013, I talked to the site supervisor for a few times.
He always have something to say, but not fixing them for me.
And here is what my builder responded to me today:
...... Although the sheet from Raymor says “Overflow positioned at the front” it also says in the Disclaimer that “The manufacturer/distributor reserves the right to vary specifications” And “The information in this flyer is not intended as an installation guide”.
Carlisle as a company install this basin with the overflow to the back of the cabinet under the tap and this can be viewed at the Milano display around the corner in Williams Landing at Lot 1157 Opsum way.
The basins they used in the display home are another product from a different brand - "Imperial Monaco".
Because I was told this was no longer an option, then I went on and picked the current ones.
In my opinion, they are different products thus should be installed accordingly.
Please offer me some suggestion what should I do ... ...
