May I ask which bolero flooring u choose? Looks nice

The Bolero we picked is Rustic Coffee. With the bolero range we just found it was the most natural looking colour. Many of the shades were very grey or too light.

Scott, of course- floating floor. No volume builder will do solid timber floors! I thought you thought the bolero was timber. Oops!

Hmm, I'd have to check. I can't tell you exactly as I'm not sure. We were set on timber so we didn't really care too much lol

I would go with builder for flooring only as my lender does not allow me separate quotes for post build stuff.

If you can, pls check other flooring suppliers. You will get heaps better quality for same price.

But keep it in mind PD has free flooring option at the moment, great savings.

I see, PD has new promotion on called - "dream big", it is better than the " dream wait for no one" promo. We want to jump to the new promotion since it cover more stuff we want, not sure is it possible ( we r not in tender yet.)

The same thing happened to us before tender. We paid our $1000 with free colourbond and dreams wait for no-one packs. then the free flooring came in effect, so we were prepared to walk away unless they honored the new promotion. We got our own way

Is the new promotion that much better? I only had a quick look yesterday but it seemed rather similar to me.. Make sure you check the base house price though as they can change when promotions change

in our case , the base price increase 8K , but seems the new promotion has more value (by our calculation, around 11K)

the main difference of the new promotion is it come with high ceiling (2.74m to ground floor) , Kitechen Galley cabinet + stone bench top., tile to master suite ceiling , semi intergrated wash machine, 920mm overhand cabinet , Kitchen/Galley cabinet silk finish.

Not exactly - the way it worked out is funny.

We negotiated when we paid our $1,000 deposit that we would not sign unless the $5,000 regional build fee was waived... They agreed to this as a sales incentive if we signed before the end of August - we agreed and coughed up our $1k, the very next week the free flooring package promotion started (which we had just locked in for $8500).

So, we asked them if we could have that promotion as well, they agreed but put the $5k surcharge back on, so basically we saved $3,500... if they hadn't of agreed it would have been pretty poor of them and we literally would have saved $2500 if we walked away and forfeited our $1000, then come back the next day...

I c, so there will be a charge one way or the other, but still a good win

In our case, the base price will up 8k, the extra upgrade new promotion included will cost 10k ( we need upgrade all of them anyway).... So...... Will fight to get that.....

I can see a couple of posts a few months back with regards to fly screen sliding doors. Has anyone else had these fitted by PD? I've just been given a price of $1217 PER SLIDING DOOR for a fly screen. :::

Well that was per door/screen, and 2 of the doors are the same size (just a standard sliding door) and we have a stacker. I think maybe they've quoted on security mesh?! $330 per door sounds much more reasonable, I was budgeting $1500 for all three doors as the stacker is quite large.

I'm just waiting to see what my BC comes back with - I will also do what you suggested and give A&L a call and see how much it would be to do after handover
