It's annoying when they say " a few weeks" what does that mean like you said!? I think the rain has played a part, but yes once brickwork starts it will be go, go, go....and yep they do tend to catch people up from my experience. But I know how much of a pain it is to just have to wait, as you just want to see something happening!! We were fortunate enough to meet our brickie before he started on our house, as he was doing the house next door, so we knew exactly when he was starting and finishing, which was handy as we didn't have a lot of communication with our CL. So maybe stalk some C.H brickie teams in your area....
