I went to goodguys today and had a look at 14 and 15 place bosch dishwashers, they are well made and look quite solid and finished = makes an impression of reliability. The cheaper one had all buttons on the face and the 15 place (with a cutlery tray on top) had all the buttons on the top side of the lid. I just though what if I'd like to pause it.. and there are no buttons outside until I open the lid ? Re: Recommend a dishwasher please 13Aug 18, 2013 10:42 am We have a Bosch, very happy with it. TABLETS - Warning Saw the super deals online for Finish Dishwashing tablets so bought up to keep us going for ages. Not a good choice, they don't dissolve - we need to manually break them up before putting into holder. They are an imported product. From my research Fairy Tablets are recommended but a bit more expensive than the others. Got a life, just can't find it! With regards to the tablets, I haven't brought the online ones, but have brought the ones available in the bulk packets that are around at the moment and haven't had any problems whatsoever. I don't think they are imported ones though. I would suggest taking a few plates and things with you. My sister-in-law's diswasher, which she swore was one of the best on the market and looked down her nose at my LG, does not fit her plates in it. She has to stack the plates on an angle and can only fit 4 -6 plates in there. I would look at where the water is sprayed into the dishwasher, many only spray from one or two places. I have water coming in from the top, the middle (which sprays up and down) and then the bottom. This means that all dishes have water coming from above and below. I think they're better than the more expensive ones! Regarding dishwashers we currently have an old Simpson model. Probably 8 years old? Haven't had any issues with it. Same thing for F&P dish drawers. They recommend to put the tablet in the cutlery holder (bottom of the unit) and it dissolves from there - no problems so far. ----------------------------------------------- http://pab34newdigs.blogspot.com.au/ ----------------------------------------------- Re: Recommend a dishwasher please 20Aug 24, 2013 9:38 pm I would love a miele but the one with 3d cutlery tray is out of my price range.
