Hi Peter,

I just looked at your website. I think it is a really good informative site with heaps of information about designing and building.

I doubt if this information occurs anywhere else in such a concise and easily understood form.

I recommend anyone who has a need to understand the various design issues and constraints to start here. I will certainly refer people to your site.

Like everything - getting the time is an issue & besides that, as I don't have any knowledge of the subject it isn't a topic I can readily put together to give informative information on the AusDesign site.

If you've a knowledge or background in Acoustics I'd like to proof read it & then look to include it in our monthly newsletter.

I’ve just had another look at your site as well.
Very informative, I agree, well done!

Do you maintain your own website, or do you have someone else doing it for you?

I do my own, which is why we have left it very basic, so I…..the very basic of knowledge person, does not get too confused about it all. It takes a lot of time to look after a website and keep it up to date, I had no idea.

Yours is great, and very professional as well!

Hi again Michelle - [previous post] I had a hard drive crash last year. As you've possibly found, the amount of info that you accumulate is mind blowing. Sorting out what to transfer to the new drive was my hard part.
As for the AusDesign site - yes, I did/do the layout & input personally.

From when I started [on the internet] in '94 I figured that the main benefit of the www was to supply information to readers & in the process put the AusDesign name up there & in the process gain business.
Currently a good 90% of work comes from the site.
I also figured that I couldn't afford to have someone do the designs & regular upgrades of information, so I embarked on the never ending journey.
Although, admittadly, the underlying purpose of posting to this & other forums is to increase ratings in google - which is our main referral - I do enjoy opportunity to provide input.

Anyway . . . enough waffling.

My knowledge is patchy - I was hoping you would give me the info in the same concise way you do the other stuff on your website.

But I have worked with the information so I will see what I can do with what I have...

Hi Peter, Just spent some time at your site.
Wow have you been busy since 94.!! Great format and very easy to use - practical information arranged in a very orderly manner.
I've bookmarked it and when I need some design info tips or guidlines it wil be a port of call.

Mish (Do you still like being called that) and Peter,
We have a saying in IT about backups and hard drive crashes.

Those who have been caught by a hard drive crash that don't have a backup, are the best at doing them forever more

Sort of like reformed smokers I guess.
