The pros wanted $2000 to do it and it's about $1000 worth of limestone, I couldn't justify paying $3000 for it. So I did it myself. Blimey! Well done! 6 minutes of training eh?! Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Retaining Wall 811May 28, 2013 1:55 pm AC just read your moving house story, can totally relate to the nightmarishness too! I moved with two kids, one 3 and one 10 months old. They were fine though, I was the one that struggled and wanted to cry. My husband was amazing and did everything himself while I moped around feeling miserable. Our dog also roamed around all night, the click clack of his claws on the floorboards all night made me crazy. Retaining wall looks excellent, must have been tiring, those blocks are so heavy. I'll definitely look into Aussie tinting when Summer comes, otherwise our bedroom will be an oven. Also managed to get an NBN install date for the 14th of June! Also Dug this up while I was making the retaining wall Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Retaining Wall 813May 28, 2013 8:55 pm Is that a toad!? It's so fun bumping into wildlife. NBN! Is white man park already getting NBN? İ think butler isn't even on the agenda yet, but we are in a Telstra estate so I've just had the fibre plan set up. 30mps for $80. When NBN comes here ill certainly change to a cheaper ISP. We are close to signing with them to build at Highland Reserve in Jane Brook. Titles due in Sept/October. Some stuff Ive read has made me nervous but have yet to read about a builder without complaints. This hread has helped me so much. I plan I paying for a solicitor to check the contract just to ensure I am getting exactly what I think I am and my own building inspector throughout the build. Not sure what else I can do except to keep in constant contact with them to get what i need. Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Retaining Wall 816Jun 02, 2013 10:00 am We have a C homes thread ill find link for you I'm also building with C homes (for the second time) Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Retaining Wall 817Jun 02, 2013 11:03 am Hey AC, looks like a cane toad to me, might be a good idea to report it to the DEC? Doesn't hurt to be on the safe side! http://www.dec.wa.gov.au/management-and ... toads.html Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Retaining Wall 818Jun 02, 2013 3:19 pm It really does look like a cane toad.. Enjoying it? Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Retaining Wall 820Jul 14, 2013 9:28 pm Things are just so hectic especially with renovating the old house to get it on the market ASAP. I had my landscaping done on Friday. Thet put every plant in the wrong spot (had to replant them). and also put a sprinkler where the liquid limestone is due to go. So they were pretty useless. Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that.
