We saw the glass doors in the display (both internal and external) and loved the idea of having some natural light in the kitchen. The external door is going be an inter blind door which is glass with built in Venetian blinds

The ability to have natural light or close the blinds was a winner for us.

The pantry is going to have a three door pantry on one side with laminated doors and the other side has a workbench/prep area with cupboards and overhead cupboards which match the kitchen. Built in microwave will also be the pantry. The plan is this area will be for all the items you may not want left on your kitchen benches eg toaster, kettle and coffee maker leaving your kitchen benches free.

We are also putting in an additional exhaust fan into the pantry as the area will be used for cooking etc...

My mom recently had her front door replaced with the one with the blind in it. He front corridor is quite dark so it is great to get extra light into the house but also being able to close it.

If I ever build again I will have one like it as a laundry door in place of the glass sliding door that tends to be done as standard.

Look forward to seeing it all come together

The frustration of waiting is finally setting in..builder says we should have final plans finished by tomorrow yeahhhh but then my excitement was short lived when I asked when the pad was likely to go down. We anticipated 2-4 weeks builder just old us 2 months if everything goes as planned..

Oh no, how annoying!! Just when we thought it was all going to get started! I'm sure the 2 months will fly, and with any luck you'll miss the rain that keeps delaying our roof

The alfresco is just awesome....this was on our must have list our last house had a 50 sqm patio and this was something we weren't prepared to give up.

We also always intended to put another pool in but something had to go if we wanted the house exactly the way we want...the positive to this is the alfresco can now go the full width of our block instead of our original plan to have it wrap around. We have looked into a very nice above ground pool and this is still an option if the pool is a must have but still feel the $$$ could be better spent else where

big alfresco was a big for us too.. your entertaining area will be awesome with spa and pool.. we have put a pool on hold for the next 5 to 10 years ahah

I don't think we will end up putting the pool in though with what it will cost I can take them swimming Lessons for the next 20yrs lol

I've budgeted a pool in for our build too, but needless to say we have higher priorities at the moment so I doubt we'll be having ours anytime soon

Plus, I want a new car! haha

Butter, an outdoor spa is equally awesome!

We aren't even getting an outdoor spa, because I want a pretty driveway and a new car! We can't buy all the things! :lol:

i wish we could buy all the things.. one power ball!! i felt so bad for my prestart lady when we were calculating the total i kept saying things like 'ohh there goes my wedding dress' or 'cant invite your aunt and uncle anymore' she felt bad for some reason aha..

Final plans tomorrow yeah!!!
Plans still haven't been approved by Corimbia or shire yet hopefully we have no problems and we still need energy rating done..

Anyone had any problem getting plans approved?

You shouldn't have any issues getting approval butter, ours was submitted to city of wanneroo and approved before we even knew it had been submitted! Less than 7 days to get it through

Hey butters - you don't need to worry about getting approval. I got mine so quick when my build still wasn't even ready to start.

What stage are you at now? Hopefully you got your plans back..!
