Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Hand Over Complete! 705Apr 19, 2013 9:25 pm Congratulations that you got your keys!! I got told they were on the ground floor now - but hold on you got a parking spot for pre start?!!! When we did our BGC prestart a couple of years ago it cost us an absolute fortune in parking! Hope you like salt and pepper on your dinner Our Custom Dale Alcock build in the Village at Wellard https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78620 Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Hand Over Complete! 706Apr 19, 2013 9:48 pm Thanks everyone. Wellard2ndTimers yeah they have 3 designated bays for pre start meetings and all 3 were vacant so I parked there and for the record I am not really a salt n pepper kind of person
In other news still have not received refund from Direct Flooring, emailed them and it was not replied back too. Will email again on Monday and tell them if it isn't in by Wednesday we're going to consumer protection. They have also broken the law because they're not allowed to accept more than 6.5% deposit of the job. These guys have gone into liquidation before as I have now found out and they took all the deposit money before also. Did you get any refund for site works or anything from builders?? W2T - they even put your name in a sign to tell you which spot is yours for prestart hehe Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Hand Over Complete! 711Apr 19, 2013 10:31 pm I'd love for ours to come in under by that much! Would mean I can get my new fridge! Don't think it is likely though. Can't wait to see the moved in pics! AC was it you who had the flint roof tiles? Would love to see an updated picture Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Hand Over Complete! 712Apr 19, 2013 10:33 pm I will try and get a photo this weekend for you fmac, I park in the garage now, so I sort of skip that walk across the road to the house which often reminded to take pictures of the front lol. Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Hand Over Complete! 713Apr 19, 2013 10:48 pm Heheh I'd just love to see what it's like in daylight. I worry a little it may be lighter then we anticipated. I guess we have the next few months to see how our choices come together!! I look forward to the day I have a garage and don't have to do the dash to the door in the rain Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Hand Over Complete! 714Apr 19, 2013 10:53 pm Oh great refund. Hope we get something like that as we have lots to d after handover haha Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Hand Over Complete! 716Apr 20, 2013 7:14 am Yeah I know. Happened to us last time. Our bank wouldn't allow left over money in mortgage account it had to be fully drawn so they then just transferred the left over into normal bank account We owe builders money so whatever credit we get will just lessen that amount which would be nice Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Hand Over Complete! 717Apr 20, 2013 10:05 am That is a bit of a lame present isn't it - like something you give someone at Christmas cos you have to buy them a present cos they'll be at your parents' place but you don't really know them lol! But whatever, YOU'RE IN!!! So glad for you, it's been such a stressful ride by the sounds of it. Hopefully there won't be any maintenance issues and you can enjoy being in your own sparkly new place! wish it was me, lol! Hope to see a few pictures once you've settled in, and I hope you keep checking in on us poor lot who are still at it from time to time! congratulations. Re: Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Hand Over Complete! 718Apr 20, 2013 2:25 pm House is so messy, so much dust and the tiles are all tradies foot prints etc. Feels like we have to a big clean up before we even move in, So much plaster on the floor which may be a problem come time flooring installation. Not sure if that's how new houses are suppose to come although site supervisor said that was normal. Re: Commodore Homes, Whiteman Edge: Hand Over Complete! phew 719Apr 20, 2013 2:54 pm Our house was clean when we got the keys and by the next day when we went back there was white plaster and concrete dust everywhere again, it just keeps going until all you floors are down and the walls are sealed/painted Building again . . with Redink Pre-start 04/12 Keys - 03/13 Finishing off. . .
