Browse Forums Lighting + Lighting Design 1 Feb 25, 2008 6:02 pm Hi all,
We are currently about to have our ensuite tiled finally and I'm now thinking about how to light the room. We have a his and hers cabinet with 2 basins and already have a downlight position planned for over each basin currently. The room is 5m wide and 2.5m deep. At one end of the room is a nice double bath which will get natural light through adjacent windows during the day. At the opposite end is a big shower (well to us anyway) being 1.5mx1.4m in size with a bricked shelf on the far wall. It's the bath and particularly shower areas I'd like to enhance with lighting if possible. The shower is a little dark being at the opposite side of the room to the windows however not so dark that we'll be relying on lights while using it during the day.. So I'm wondering what options I have (if any) to light up the inside of the shower? I envisage 3 small feature type lights shining beams down the far wall with the shelf but any recommendations would be great. I imagine that in a bathroom type area you don't want lights blinding you as you relax in the bath or shower so am guessing you aim to light the walls and let the bounce light the room? Also what sort of fittings should I be purchasing for a wet area like a bathroom where condensation will be occurring? Thanks for any advise, Matt Bathroom Lighting. 2May 03, 2008 11:07 am Hi there Matt,
