I have had the windows in my house replaced and with all bar 1 the blinds fit perfectly back in.
1 window frame is just slightly tighter than previous and I'm thinking there is a way around getting the blind recut or replaced.
With the main bracket installed which takes the chain mechanism the blind itself fits into the frame, the end pin pushed fully into the roller. So, could I drill a hole into the frame for the end-pin to sit?
I'm thinking drill a hole into the frame, slightly over sized, insert a metal cylinder (pipe perhaps? I'm not sure), and this would protect the frame from wear and allow the end pin to sit inside it and operate the roller as normal.
I need to check if there is sufficient leverage to remove the blind with this setup.
Has anyone done anything similar?
