Browse Forums Pools & Spas 1 Jun 13, 2017 7:11 pm Hi peoples. Just want to get an indication as to how much I'd expect to pay for travertine pool tiles fully laid. We have a quote that is with a pool builder that is $7200 for 18m2. Works out to $400 / m2. It does seem excessive considering it's around $70 / m2 for the paver itself. We are still in the throws of getting quotes, but knowledge is power. Finally, are there any other gotchas or advise that people can assist in building a pool. We are looking at a 8 x 4 concrete pool in Brisbane. For example any really good builder or one's to not consider. Thanks in advance Re: Pool Paver Tiling 2Jun 13, 2017 7:57 pm The coping is a different rate to sqm rate Travitine coping with tumbled edge grouted and sealed apx $3000. If you wanted a drop edge on it add about $1900 Body pavers apx $230psm . If you have a curved pool cutting will be more . Hope that helps Cheers Re: Pool Paver Tiling 5Jun 15, 2017 10:35 pm Hey, for a 6 x 3.5m sized pool we were quoted $1760 to lay bond beam pavers only (not the cost of the actual pavers) and $4125 to lay a further 25m2 around the pool (again not including the actual pavers). By contrast our second quote was $2600 to lay the bond beam pavers as well as the additional 25m2 pavers. This includes glued down and grouted. We're going to buy our own pavers and then seal them ourselves afterwards. Re: Pool Paver Tiling 6Jul 23, 2017 7:01 pm Hi, I had the same question when we built our pool, unfortunately I choose to buy the Bluestone pavers and coping from our local so called expert in Bairnsdale, and had them laid by a qualified stonemason, the same guy that laid the Italian glass mosaic tiles in the pool. Only a matter of weeks latter the Bluestone started to de laminate and crumble, and now 3 years latter it's still doing the same and our Local expert says it was laid in correctly. If I was you I would let the pool builder handle everything, buy it, lay it, seal it, then it's all on them. The trouble with bringing in other contractors is they all have different opinions, of course our Local expert is an expert on everything, and his supplier in Melbourne is also so no help even though his Bluestone has failed on numerous occasions I have since found out. We are now on our way to court to solve the matter. I hope this helps you out. Looking to tile the facade pillars rather than rendering. Builder is quoting 2500$ laying cost for upto 10msq. The 2 pillars come to be 16msq. So laying costs are 5000$… 0 8041 Hi, I'm clearing the tiles from our horrid 50 year old bathroom and preparing to lay new ones.
