Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Nov 03, 2019 12:08 pm Hi. I need some advice on selecting the right colour sofa for my lounge area please. I have the choice of going with a beige/stone colour or a dark grey colour. The kitchen area that looks out to this lounge area has light brown laminex in it. Any help or advice eould be so appreciated. Thanks in advance!! On the other hand, a darker colour will stand out more. Adding a few dark ornaments etc here and there will help blend in the darker colour with lighter surrounds. Darker colours are better for hiding stains but show more household fluff and dust. It's a hard decision. This applies to drapes, carpets etc. Re: Sofa colour selection advice 3Nov 07, 2019 2:45 pm wagga123 Hello, a lighter colour will always blend in more than a darker colour.
