I often have a look on real estate sites, looking for inspiration. I found the most beautiful (and expensive) home which is just about the feel I want to create with mine. It won't be to everyone's tastes, particually those loving the modern look, but for those more traditional with a French Provincial flavour (ie; me!), this home is just stunning and so well done. Web site is well worth a look: http://www.5winsongreenroad.com/ Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! What a gorgeous house! I love everything about it., especially the little girls room and the master bedroom with the embossed wallpaper. But really I love it all!!! thanks for posting stormy. I wonder how much it will go for. Re: Beautiful Home, and my inspiration. 3Dec 09, 2008 10:12 pm I've just sent that link to my sister, she will love it! I think that house is beautiful and I would live in it. I think it's great that you love what you do and that you will create YOUR house the way you want it without following trends. I'm looking forward to seeing your house come together. I was talking to our neighbour tonight, they are building the PD Marriott in the French Provincial style. His Wife had been out today buying up Chandeliers and funnily enough I thought of you!
Enjoy! Re: Beautiful Home, and my inspiration. 4Dec 10, 2008 6:17 am Hi Stormy
An absolutely beautiful home, probably in one of the best locations in Melbourne. I love Mailing st and I could easily see myself living in that home...funnily enough, even though I am building an ultra modern home, I have always love the 'period' style houses if done properly. Must be worth a few million in that location Mrs B Re: Beautiful Home, and my inspiration. 5Dec 10, 2008 6:24 am I"ve found heaven........it's just glorious.
Oh stormy, you & I have the same tastes. Now that's my dream home. All I need now is to find myself a new DH, with the same tastes Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Re: Beautiful Home, and my inspiration. 7Dec 10, 2008 11:22 am House-To-Be I was talking to our neighbour tonight, they are building the PD Marriott in the French Provincial style. Mrs B, I'm quite often found rambling around the shops on Maling Rd, although some of them that I used to love have disappeared. It is a beautiful home, and I've saved as many pics of it as I could! They will appear on the blog eventually as my inspiration. Might have to wait until after the Christmas rush! It would be very interesting to see how much it goes for, but I doubt we would ever find out, not being an auction. With 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 3 car spaces and a pool all on 1,450 sqm, I'd think well over $3M...and I think that's conservative. I love the mirror ball in the theatre room/lounge/dining hanging from the ceiling next to the projector!...and good to see someone else with the clock I've had for ages sitting in storage!
