Well I just came back from the blinds shop and got the revised quote with the upgraded fabric. The upgrade was negligible, but it turns out the master bedroom (bay) window 'estimate' has blown out from $500 to nearly $1500 I questioned her a lot on why it was so different... she had said that the original quotes were 'estimates' based on certain fabric types, but it turns out she had under-estimated it -- grossly!!! I don't think I can do much about it, they are already giving me 10% off the whole price which is pretty good. I just hope DH doesn't say it means we can't get plantations now "Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions." — Elizabeth Gilbert Living in our new house. Updated with pics! 6/5 60May 07, 2009 8:03 am Me too! Margot said about 4 weeks from order for rollers and about 10 weeks for plantations - not sure if you waited more. Atleast that means we have the new rollers installed before we move into the new house which saves us doing to whole 'old sheet' thing As for the bathrooms and the shutters - well I can give the new neighbours a nice greeting can't I? You can cover it up with an aluminium bracket or ask the builder. 7 12025 4 15475 |
