Browse Forums Interior Decorating Lounge 1 Apr 19, 2010 6:12 pm We have pearl white window frames/sliding doors/bifolds. Wall colour: Either hog bristle full or 1/2 strength Ceilings: White Flooring: Wood look lino main living areas, carpets (browny tones) in bedrooms. Question: Should we do just a plain white trim and skirting to tie in with window frames and ceilings or a softer white? Any suggestions please? Also, I presume its best done in a gloss? Thanks. Help needed asap!! 4Apr 20, 2010 8:35 pm I was thinking white trims purely because if I did them in hog bristle and then changed wall colour later on I'd have to repaint all the trims as well! Is that what most people do? We've only ever had jarrah skirting boards, architraves and window sills, so never had to choose colour!! If I do go white is it best to just go plain white (so it matches the bright white of the window frames)? Re: Which trim & skirting colour? Help needed asap!! 5Apr 20, 2010 9:09 pm This is no brainer for me, I can only live with pure white (gloss) skirtings and all other trims (as well as pure white ceilings ). Will be beautiful with the lovely soft HB 1/2. BTW, you kow what they say - when in doubt, use white! My signature is distracting people from my wise posts ... Re: Which trim & skirting colour?
