Browse Forums Renovation + Home Improvement 1 Jul 03, 2012 2:18 pm Hello, I've read some posts regarding verticle or horizontal tiling. However, i would like some advice on tiling my bathroom with following conidtioin: bathroom = 330cm x 200cm x 200cm I am planning to tile the floor length wise from entrance door looking at the wall in front (330cm), lets say by counterclockwise , the closest right corner as #1, furtherst right corner as #2, furthest left corner #3, closest left corner #4 I ahve a shower stall in corner #1. I am thinking of tiling the Shower wall vertilcally aligned with 30x60cm grey tiles. now i would like to tile my bathroom walls with white horizontal 30x60cm tiles to make it look larger. But my shower walls are verticle. I am not certain but i think this will look bad. what do people think? also, i would like my floor tiles to go up the wall about 10-15cm. i would like to know if i need to follow the pattern of the floor? since the floor tiles are palced length direction, the shorter side of the tile will be against the shorter wall. if i place some floor tiles up the wall, can i place the long side (60cm) on the short wall as well? or do i place the 30cm side on the wall and follow the pattern? Looking to tile the facade pillars rather than rendering. Builder is quoting 2500$ laying cost for upto 10msq. The 2 pillars come to be 16msq. So laying costs are 5000$… 0 8041 Hi, I'm clearing the tiles from our horrid 50 year old bathroom and preparing to lay new ones. Bugger of a job getting the old… 0 8258 |
