Bought in Nov 21 at the height of the market (classic). Good area, atrocious floor plan. BUT has land out to the left-hand side that we can extend out on (see second photo). Will be living here for at least 5+ more years regardless. Reno would push that to 10 years. Would you do it? Bought house for ~$1.5m and Reno would be around $300k. Alternative would be adjusting the laundry wall, putting a door at the back (center where cupboard is) and doing up the garage/studio into a proper bedroom/lounge (not very habitable atm). Or just wait 5 years, save the money and move on? WWYD?
