Browse Forums Owner Builder Forum 1 Nov 10, 2016 6:05 am Morning all, Just had my final inspection done on my 3 years of work and I have been told to replace the polycarbonate roofing on my decking with something that is BAL 19 rated. I was tol there is a product similar to polycarbonate out there that is rated to BAL 19. I cant find it. Anyone got any great ideas as it looks like my other option is glass as I want it clear due to it being south facing and having windows into bedrooms under the verandah. Thanks in Advance Kent Re: Polycarbonate roofing and BAL 2Nov 16, 2016 6:44 am Kent, as you've discovered polycarbonate type roofing does not meet the current flammability requirements for any designated bushfire prone areas. Nearly all the testing & certification was done prior to the aus standard being updated. I haven't found any manufacturers that can comply, so if you find a product I'd be interested in the details.
